The Shrieking Shack is positioned up a slope from the Three Broomsticks and is accessible to all who take the muddy and puddled pathway up and down the hillside to get there. Though much of its history has been revealed to wizardkind, the place is still eerie as ever and continues to hold the reputation as the "most haunted house in Britain." If you listen or look carefully, maybe you will hear a noise sound or see a flicker of light come from inside.
Still the windows and doors of the house are boarded shut with wood. No one may enter or exit the premises through those openings without breaking and entering. It would be advised to simply stand on the other side of the fence that surrounds the property and enjoy the home and its dank overgrown garden from a safe distance. You never know what could be lurking about inside that dusty run-down place after all these years...

"The easy way is just this. Easy. We hope the fence, hope no one sees us and make our way for the place." Really it was all too simple. Keep a lookout for one another and just go for it. Whatever happened, happened. Obviously they would be cautious but also it would be much quicker and more daring. "Option two takes more planning which I didn't do but it would involve charms to keep us from being seen and making sure nothing gets messed up or broken along the way. A safer route in too for sure." Which is what they did have their wands for, just saying. Now that option we passed up already. Something to do with the Whomping Willow back on the grounds at Hogwarts." So there was no real need to go into all the details right now about it since they were already here.
Still looking at the shack there was a nod of his head. Easy way it is. Look at him being agreeable and going along with things.
An eyebrow rose and he couldn't help but laugh when the easy way of getting in the Shrieking Shack was mentioned. "That was more or less what I was thinking," Logan commented, leaving out the part about how he presumed they would eventually have to blow something up. There really was only one way to find out if that would be necessary.
While Vasco went on about the second option, the Gryffindor was already not seeing the appeal of it. "Borrrrrrrrrrring." But what the boy didn't find boring was the third option, which apparently was too late to put into action. "Hold on a minute. You mean to tell me that the passage that is allegedly under the Whomping Willow goes there?" he asked, pointing at the shack. "Going to have to test that option later. Maybe I can get Ve-- the others to tag along."
Ahem. Anyway. "Well, what are we waiting for?" He backed up a few paces and swung himself over the fence, his feet landing on the other side with a satisfying crunch.

Vasco grinned at his best mate when there was a confirmation on the easy way. "Hey, why make things overly complicated when they don't need to be." Now he could've, everyone knows that but, why should he? Sometimes even a Ravenclaw needed to chill and do things the simple way.
Now it was his turn to chuckle. "I figured you'd say that. Boring usually means safe though." He was just saying! Not that it would remain safe by any means once they got inside.. if they even got that far. "That's what I've heard. I'm surprised you didn't know that." Since he had found out from his own younger sister. Yeah, yeah.. not that it mattered and he hadn't bothered to ask where she had gotten her information from. "We can test it later when we get back if you want." Cue the side-eye at that almost slip up. "Vera? Yeah.. I guess we can invite her along." As of lately they'd been getting along better.
Without further ado, Vasco stepped to the side a step or two and back several paces before swinging himself up over the fence to land on the other side beside him friend. That wasn't hard at all. "Lets go before anyone sees us." A quick glance around didn't show anyone to be around but that didn't mean anyone wasn't. So before they could be spotted, Vasco trudged forward through the snow once more towards the shake this time.

"You're preaching to the frog choir, mate," the blond responded, a grin planted on his face, forever overjoyed that Vasco was not one of those Ravenclaws that thought of every minute detail and stuck to it. "That is the Gryffindor way, after all. Don't think; just do it." It was how he personally went about his life. Well, most of the time. There were certain things he either avoided altogether or actually sat and thought about.
As for the passage beneath the Whomping Willow, he had heard from one of the Gryffindors who heard from a Hufflepuff, who heard from a Slytherin, who heard from a Ravenclaw, who got the information from somewhere that there was a passage under there. He even knew how to activate said passage, though he had yet to make an attempt. What he did not know, until now, was where said passage led -- perhaps that had gotten lost in the passing of information. That much Logan would have shared, but then a certain name had been mentioned. Cue the internal panic. Uhh... uhh... uhh...
"And Sable and Enzo and Keighley and Charlie and whoever else wants to tag along," Logan added in an attempt to cover the almost slip-up that he knew his friend had noticed. "We could have a party in the shack."
Speaking of the shack, there it was in all of its glory, the fence long behind them. Logan bolted ahead, both out of excitement and to remove himself from the spot where that slip-up had occurred. "Let's walk around?" he suggested, looking at the boarded-up door and windows. "There's got to be a way in that isn't blocked off somewhere around here."

But what did happen was not something Tam had anticipated. But it was 100x better than anything else that had come to her mind.
There was music joining hers. She couldn't see where it was coming from yet, but that didn't matter to her. The sounds of the violin melted beautifully with her cello and she just closed her eyes and continued to play, letting the joy of the moment take over. She didn't get much opportunity to play with other people so this was a particularly magical moment for her.
Thinking she heard the violin getting loud, her eyes did open again and she spotted an older Hufflepuff approaching - Dynah she thought was her name. She recognized her from seeing her around Anna's table and if she wasn't mistaken, their sisters were friends as well. She grinned widely at the girl and kept playing until she reaching the last note and drew it out slowly before lowering her bow. She could spot the slight touch of red to the others cheeks, but she assumed it was the cold or perhaps the elation of music that she always seemed to get as well. "That was amazing! And I love your violin! It's beautiful!" She wasn't normally a particularly chatty individual with new people, but playing already bonded them if one was to ask Tam.
Please.
Tam was not giving herself any credit. She was clearly great with that string instrument and someone clearly needed to remind her of the fact. Dynah on the other hand? Well, she was rather enjoying herself as much as she did when playing in the School’s orchestra.
It was indeed such a beautiful melody, especially since the type the girls were playing happened to be the type Dy enjoyed the most. Poor Tamara. The Hufflepuff would feel sorry for her if such sad sentiments were ever expressed, but Tam could always nudge her for them to have more jam sessions together.
Dynah returned the grin, albeit a little goofily {this had nothing to do with the fact that most of her concentration was honed in on the violin}. When Tamara led in ending, Dy followed suit with a flourish. “It was!” Quite the opposite of Tam, she was chatty with everyone but for some reason, was finding it difficult to be so just at the moment. “Thank you! My dads got it for me.” Um, what else did she say now? It was as though her brain had gone into the consistency of soggy, overcooked noodles.
Talkative, overly energetic Dynah just might be temporarily broken.
The little Ravenclaw had nothing in which to compare Dynah's personality too, so the lack of chatting that was the usual for the girl was not something she was privvy to. In fact, her personality currently just seemed as polite and words as much of a need-to-speak basis as Tam usually treated them. Though this was certainly a different scenario for her, as much as it was for Dynah even if she was unaware of the fact.
Pulling out her wand, she shrunk her cello so she could put it protectively in her pocket before moving closer to the other girl to inspect the instrument more. "They chose really well. I love the detailing on it." She wasn't usually a floral girl herself, but the hand painted touch was beautiful no matter the design. "Did you do that yourself or did it come like that?" She looked up from the instrument to the Hufflepuff and offered a smile. "And have you been playing long?" It was a lot of questions, but she was curious to know now that she had met another classical instrument aficionado. She was sure there were others too, but she hadn't been bold enough to introduce herself and find them so... Dynah was the first.
And Tam was maybe a bit too excited about it. Sorry new hopefully friend.

"Yeah, yeah. You don't think I know already how you think?" Between Logan and the rest of their group, Vas was lucky any of the planning he ever did even got to see the light of day. Gosh darn Gryffindors and their forever just leaping right on into things. "I've been dealing with that way of life since before my birth," he reminded the blonde, a slight grin on his face. He knew when to plan things and when to go with the flow. Most of the time.
Since it wasn't asked of him, he didn't give any details on the information he knew about the Whomping Willow. It could wait until later, when they weren't currently occupied with trying to get inside the shack already.
"Riiiiiiiight.." Vasco smirked at Logan as if he knew something that his friend didn't. And perhaps he DID. Things did have a way of going unknown when words went unspoken. "Sure, sure. Whatever you say." Cue a look about this whole party thing though. "How about we make sure we don't die first today and then we can focus on anything else later." He was all for one thing at a time right now.
It came as no surprise to him at all that Logan took off ahead of him. Vasco now following more quickly just so he doesn't get left behind. "There's always a way. Whether or not it will be easy, is the real question." Were they going to have to pull off some boards from a window or door or maybe blast their way inside? Possibly.

Logan was very much aware of the fact that his best friend was very much in tune with how he thought. It was one of the many reasons why they were best friends. It just made life a whole lot easier when someone knew how the other thought and went along for the ride. There was, of course, a time and a place for proper planning, though they were just kids. Dancing through life was just the best approach. "It's the best way of life if you ask me."
And dancing through life was what he was going to do, especially in the current situation that was happening. In actuality, it was more like running from it, considering jumping over the fence and running toward an old allegedly haunted building was the solution. But, hey, it was working fine for him so far.
"No promises on making it out alive!" he shouted over his shoulder jokingly. The odds of them returning to the castle in one piece were pretty high unless something awful decided to take up residence in the shack and took them by surprise. Even so, they'd be fiiiiiiine. A Gryffindor's bravery and Ravenclaw's wit were a powerful force to be reckoned with.
Vasco did have a point. Their path blocked or not, they'd find a way in the shack. "True," he agreed, eyeing up the building as he led the way along the side of it and toward the back of the structure. "Looks like a bit of force will need to be used." From what he could see, everything had been boarded up. "But at least we won't be seen as easily from back here."

Feeling very much like Aryan with regard to his mostly silent persona, Dynah watched as Tamara shrank her cello and pocketed it. Did she always do that? Dy’s expression was most likely a questioning one which was a good thing since the question was stuck in her throat. Also, this was a first; her being unable to speak, that is.
Tamara moving closer was not helpful, by the way. The Hufflepuff tried to zone in on the violin by staring pretty hard at it. Words. She needed words. She cleared her throat, hoping that would help. “Thanks.” Merlin! Why did she sound as though she was croaking; like a frog? Cue another bit of throat clearing. “They always choose the perfect stuff for my siblings and I.” That was better. Her voice wasn’t quite as strong and bubbly as it usually was but this was an improvement. At least Dy could lift her eyes to meet Tamara’s again. “I wish I was this artistic, then I wouldn’t have had to bug the dads to get someone to get the painting done.”
The other question made her face light up. “Since I was seven! So about five years! What about you? And do you plan on doing it for a career?” Dynah had questions too, new friend! Because, yes, they had the love for string instruments in common. That made them friends.

Oh, no, no. If they needed to dance, he was out! Dancing was not his style. Nope, no thanks. Running, yeah. He could do that. Did so quite often actually. Not towards old abandoned haunted houses but whatever worked. He was keeping up, through the snow and all.

Duh. Most of the time he did. He didn't think it would be all that hard to get inside. Sure the place was boarded up but they could probably kick through those if they wanted to. Blasting through them would be easier though, no doubt. "Want to do the honors?" Since this was his idea. He didn't care either way as long as they didn't linger around out here too much longer.

While Tamara certainly wouldn’t have suggested Dynah’s initial attempt at speech sounded like a frog, she did notice the hoarseness and wondered if perhaps it was due to the cold. Reaching for her bag, she pulled out the etra scarf she’d shoved in in case she wanted to double up if the weather got to be too much. She was feeling pretty alright though, so offering it to the other girl was no problem. “Are you cold? You can borrow this if you’d like!” It was even her mint green one with musical notes dancing around the bottom - as opposed to the Ravenclaw scarf currently wrapped around her own neck. “Music means you are artistic! Just perhaps not in the drawing or painting department.” She corrected gently, taking the second year’s word for it on her ability in other art forms. “Either way, even if you didn’t design it it’s just extra special your dads picked it out for you!” Maybe she should make her own cello even more of a prized possession for herself and see if her sisters wanted to help her decorate it.
Five years!? That was a little bit longer than Tamara herself, which meant that Dynah probably new more techniques and harder pieces and maybe Tam could also hang out with her for jam sessions AND picking her brain for some of the newer pieces she had in her latest music book. “Nice! Only 3 for me. What drew you to the violin?” As for doing it for a career? Well.. she was only 12 so it wasn’t for certain, but Tam still nodded with her eyes bright. “I hope so! I think it’d be cool to be in an orchestra one day!” She wasn’t the type that liked to stand out, so solo work wasn’t on her radar but… an orchestra sounded lovely. Or maybe even a quartet or something more intimate. “You?”

A chuckle sounded in response to Vasco's comment. "My Gryffindor is always showing, mate," he replied with a grin. The statement was true, both literally and figuratively. The red and gold were worn with pride, and his antics and personality made the placement right at the start of their first year rather easy for the Sorting Hat.
But something he wasn't brave enough to want to face would be the Thanatos sisters if anything were to ever happen to their Ravenclaw brother. Not that he'd need to worry about that because there hopefully obviously wasn't anything inside that shack that would harm them. "Please. We both know that if something happens to you, then it'd have happened to me already." He was, after all, the more reckless one.
"Don't need to ask me twice," Logan told his friend enthusiastically. He then approached the door and started kicking at the boards. He could have used his wand, but that would have been too easy and not nearly as fun. Plus, in his mind, the boards were ancient, so surely they couldn't be that hard to break.

There was absolutely, positively no cold plaguing Dynah; getting sick easily just wasn’t her thing. Was she about to refuse a scarf as pretty as the one being offered to her by Tamara? Dynah was not stupid. “It is a little extra nippy,’’ was her admission, thinking that her words and voice had better not abandon her again or she’d be rather angry with herself later on. “Thank you. This is a very pretty scarf.” It was wrapped around her neck easily with her free hand. “It's much better now.” Indeed Dy felt snugger. And… she thought the delightful scent embedded in the fabric must be that of Tamara’s. “I guess that’s true,’’ the second year responded, feeling kind of dumb despite Tamara's gentle words. “That’s why it’s extra special to me, because they picked it out. The first time one of the strings broke, I cried for hours because I thought I had permanently damaged it. Back then, I didn’t know strings could be replaced.” It had been a huge learning moment for her when Dad Adi had explained that
“Three years is still a good amount of time,’’ Dynah commented, actually thinking the same about hangouts and jam sessions. Yet for some reason, she couldn’t bring herself to ask about either. WHAT in Merlin’s scratchy grey beard was wrong with her? “I bet you’ve learnt a great deal in a short while. I just like the way it sounds, you know? I used to watch a lot of music videos and one day came across instrumentals. There was this orchestra playing and some violinists had solos… the rest is history as they say.” She had never looked back, only forward with all her hopes pinned on being a successful violinist. “How about you and your cello?”
Dy tilted her head questioningly. “Why haven’t you joined Hogwarts’? It’s a good place to start.” She herself had joined practically her first week in her first year. Too bad about the standing out part thought because Tamara would forever stand out to Dynah, like a beautiful, bright angel. “I’m aiming to go solo as a violinist and dancer. Maybe even collaborate with other musicians at times. As long as music’s involved, I’m in.”
The little Ravenclaw was just pleased then to have been able to offer new friend something that would assist with the discomfort she was feeling. She readily passed over the scarf, giving a nod at the slightly older girl's gratitude. "You're welcome! It's one of my favorites. Softer shades of greens are so pretty, aren't they? Like mints and sages." If she WAS going to have a custom cello, she'd want it in a pretty sage with maybe some cheery yellow sunflowers. Those always made her think of Anna. Empathy for poor young Dynah's heartbreak was very much felt, as Tam's brown eyes went wide. "That must have been a horrible feeling! Were your dads able to notice and assure you quickly?" She couldn't imagine having to feel such dread over such a precious item for minutes, let alone hours!
It was a good amount of time - and she had no plans of giving it up either considering what joy it gave her, so in no time she'd be at that same mark. Even if Dynah was then at seven years! But having a friend more experienced just meant learning opportunities! "It is! Sometimes I wish it was longer just because it would have been nice to have had more years of something I enjoy so much but... it's fine, because it wasn't less time." Tam was certain she would ask before the pair parted ways, but it seemed rather abrupt so early into a conversation to impose her time on the Hufflepuff. What if Dynah was someone who would have felt like she had to say yes out of fear of being rude? "Maybe, but there's always more to know! Which is probably my favorite part." One day she'd like to get into figuring out her own compositions as well, but she was only 11 - there was no rush on that. "It must have been meant to be for you to see that then!" And as for enjoying the sound? She could very much understand that. "I also just like the sound it produces. It's so rich, you know? When I told my parents I think they were surprised because the instrument was almost as big as I was but... I've never regretted it!" Even if at times it HAD been difficult to bear it's weight.
........
Wait.
Tam's eyes went WIDE as she looked at the other girl, blinking slightly. "There is a Hogwarts orchestra?" The only downfall of being so green still at the school was not knowing everything that was offered to them. She was so surprised and perhaps minorly upset with herself for having wasted half a term already, that she couldn't even think of a reply for her music goals. Though even then, she was certain with Dynah's easy talent to match her own tune she'd go far as a duet or solo!

"Don't I know it." Vasco laughed knowingly. He was used to those around him completely Gryffindoring. This is what happened when he was the only claw in their group. Which was cool, he was proud of his house as he knew the others were proud of theirs.
If Logan looked Vasco's way right then he would've noticed that he was grinned at this and trying not to laugh. As true as that might be there's always the chance that something happens to me because I'm trying to keep something from happening to you." This was just as likely. He might be a Ravenclaw and he might think things out more than the others but when it came to safety well.. if something was already happening to one of them he would do whatever he needed to do to help them. With any luck they wouldn't have to worry about this becoming a thing today.
Vasco hung back to watch Logan kick at the boards that really shouldn't hold up all that well. In his head he saw the boards breaking fairly quickly. So his mate really shouldn't have any need for his help right then.

“I… hadn’t thought of it. But they are, now that I’m looking at this one.” Dy’s tone was apologetic and sheepish. Should she be paying more attention to colours? She absentmindedly fidgeted with the scarf as she mulled over the silent question. There was a slight build of panic within because what if Tamara thought of her as stupid and unobservant? Gosh, what an utterly poor impression she must have made on this first meeting! Despite all of this, she managed to stick in the back of her brain that Tamara liked soft shades of green. “They did. And my dad showed me that even his guitar strings broke from time to time.” Her eyes widened as though she had only just found this out for the first time. “I mean… who knew? Did that ever happen to your cello strings?”
Dynah bobbed her head. “Looking at it all from that angle is much better than dwelling on what could have been. In any case, I bet you’ll be playing for a ton of years so plenty of chances to make up for lost time. By that time, you’ll be such a pro.” Part of the musical journey was to learn as much as one can about their instruments and what sort of genre they liked or disliked among a lot of other stuff. Tamara could get there one day once she remained this determined. Dynah burst out in a fit of giggles. “You must have been a sight the first time you stood next to a cello. Tiny Tamara, huge cello.” She would have liked to see it for herself. “It does have a proper sound. I don’t think YouTube videos did it justice, that combination of cello and violin strings.” Like… that combo was perfect!
Dy was just as surprised as Tamara, but about the fact that the Ravenclaw had missed out on Orchestra. “There is! You should join! If not this term, then maybe next term?” There was a hint of hopefulness to those words.

With the Heating Charms on her clothing redone, Nova had stepped out from the Three Broomsticks after the chat with her mother and into the cold. There was no clear destination in mind, however, her feet and brain seemed to be taking her in the direction of the Shrieking Shack. This was fine with her because the place might be too crowded today because of the chill, and this soon-to-be-Auror needed to think. Her dearest mama had given her precious advice and now it was all up to her to figure what she wanted from life.
Well, not ‘life’ exactly. That much was already clear to her.
No, Nova needed to decide about one annoying Kennedy Potter. Not that he was as annoying as before but… yeah. Him. Was she really prepared to give him a chance? Would he be a distraction to her ambitions? Would he be supportive?

Elias didn’t really have a reason to be at the Shrieking Shack other than his curiosity was getting the better of him. He’d heard stories about it of course, that it was the most haunted house in Britain which considering the number of ghosts that frequented the halls of Hogwarts must’ve been plenty. He’d also heard of its previous uses and the history associated with its crooked beams and creaking boards.
That wasn’t to say that Eli was brave enough to step over the threshold and attempt to enter. Although the first year would argue that bravery had absolutely nothing to do with it and that it was that he wasn’t stupid enough to do it that was holding him back.
He’d taken the long pathway down, wrapped up warm in his cashmere coat that was a little too big for him still but had been a present from his Grandfather for his birthday. He halted by the fence, close enough to be able to spot anything odd occurring from behind the boarded up windows but distant enough to avoid any trouble. His eyes flickered between the windows in anticipation.

Etta, filled with curiosity, ventured to the famous or infamous (whichever one would prefer) haunted house! The youngling had a fascination for the haunted at her small age. What was meant to be a punishment (from past foster bullies) turned into a world that piqued her interest after her foster grandmother once advised her to fear the living, not the dead.
The muggle movie Casper should be accredited as well.
Etta wore her thick wool cloak and hood over a wool sweater to keep herself nice and warm, paired with lavender rain boots. Snow squelched under the youngling’s rain boots as she cautiously neared the fence of the Shrieking Shack.
Etta’s eyes WIDENED! Woooooah. It was so worn down, the garden was unkempt and overgrown. What a crime! A real crying shame. But it did add to the haunted element she supposed. Walking a little further she noticed a familiar face as she pushed the hood of the cloak just a smidge away from her face to steal a glance then releasing it quickly.
Oh no…it was Ezra’s brother. The boy who falsely accused her of stealing her good friend’s dragon book. Wait?...Was he into haunted houses too?

The soft crunch of snow was evidence enough that the Slytherin’s alone time was about to be disturbed before he even bothered to turn around and see who it was. Etta would have good reason not to trust Elias. Whether out of spite or just because he and his brother were such opposites, he had already decided that anyone that was friends with Ezra would not be worthy of his attention.
Unfortunately with it being off of the beaten path and not the usual spot for Hogwarts students to gather on their weekends away from the castle, the pair were entirely alone and it would be difficult for them to ignore each other's existence. Besides, ‘constant vigilance’ had been drilled into him from such a young age that despite the subtleties in her movements, Eli had noticed her glancing in his direction. He couldn’t read her body language as to whether she was intrigued or frightened by the shack however. “Top left window” he spoke, not bothering with any pleasantries such as hello. He meant that there was movement up there and if she wanted to see anything that was where she likely could.
See? No one could accuse him of not being generous. Giving out important information was about as generous as he could get.

Etta wasn’t one to hold grudges often, sure she was upset and a bit frightened at the time of the false accusation. She also took time to consider that perhaps Elias was looking after Ezra, they were brothers after all and she respected that. Etta would do the same if someone stole her sister’s favorite items too, she figured.
To Etta’s surprise, Elias was less intimidating this time. Or at least that’s how she feels currently. Or it could be her curiosity for the haunted house that added a thrilling and distracting element to the company. Which by what she's observed so far, she would make sure not to make too much of a fuss and annoy the Slytherin boy. Respecting boundaries.
At the mention of the top left window, the youngling pointed as she followed the direction to said window. It was certainly not polite to point but her poor astigmatism posed a challenge. Alas finding the movement in the window Etta beamed! ”Wahhhh!" She quietly mused, tilting her head enthusiastically. Moving closer to the fence. ”Dang, I wish I could go inside.” Etta said as she nonchalantly pointed to what seemed like a figure or shadow, but it could just be a smudge on the window.

Etta should not be fooled into thinking that just because Elias was in a seemingly positive mood and therefore was acknowledging her existence without disdain, that the pair were suddenly friends. Eli didn’t make a habit of forming friendships with people his brother liked, mostly because their personalities and consequently the type of people whose company they enjoyed were vastly different. Also he still didn’t trust that this girl hadn’t just outwardly stolen the book and Ezra was just too much of a wimp to admit that a girl had outsmarted him.
The movement from within the house had seemingly garnered both their attention to the point that the conversation was remaining civil. It wasn’t like Hogwarts was void of spirits to communicate with but there was something about the Shrieking Shack and it’s mysterious mess that intrigued him more. “Why don’t you?” he asked, his left brow slightly raised as if he was daring her to climb over the perimeter and enter the premises.
Eli meanwhile was not stupid enough (in his opinion) to break the rules and was satisfied by the required distance being kept.

A smirk formed on Etta’s lips, tempted to be reckless (for once) and go over the fence but shook her head.”Tempting, but I don’t want to get in trouble.” Admire from afar. Etta wasn’t one to break the rules even if it would put her in a position of ridicule or shame by other people. It wouldn’t be anything new to her. But staying out of trouble felt like the right thing to do and the safest path.
As Etta quietly observed the movement from a distance her mind wondered what the story behind the shack was. Who lived in it? Was the garden loved and what kind of flowers bloomed. It was indeed a mystery. A sad and beautiful mystery in the innocence of her mind. Etta, curious per usual, wanted to ask Elias what he thought the backstory to the shack was. Or if he actually knew what happened, considering he was more familiar with the magical realm than she was. However, she didn’t want to disturb him so she kept her thoughts to herself. She didn’t feel a threatening vibe from the boy and wondered if Elias was friendly deep down. A mystery. Or perhaps her intuition was failing her and she should keep her distance.

There was so much to ponder.
It was quite chilly this time of year, though Kennedy didn't pay it any mind with his cloak and sweater having been charmed the usual heating charms. Benny was busy studying and Ken really needed the break. Studying for NEWTs just reminded him on how unsure he was with his future. Whether he'd fall in line with the tradition of being an Auror or Quidditch player or something else. The thought was being pushed further once again. As for who he felt like thinking about. Well, he didn't have to decide as he could spot that special someone kilometers away.
"Well, well," Kennedy smiled, "Fancy seeing you here," As he oh so suave and casually (in his mind) stood by her side after walking up from behind. Did she miss him? It happened.

Elias couldn’t exactly judge Etta for not wanting to get into trouble for he was doing the exact same thing but that didn’t stop him from rolling his eyes at her anyway. The Slytherin was enamoured by thoughts of what lay behind the shack’s boarded up windows and yet he didn’t want to be the one to go first. Others could call him a wuss all they liked but he’d argue it was a sense of self-preservation that prevented him from going further and not because he was scared. It was times like these that he wished he could perhaps be a little more ‘sociable’ and convince a ‘friend’ to go in first.
Perhaps a Gryffindor? They had the lack of inhibitions and the vanity which made them an easy target for pushing the boundaries of the rules.
“Why not? There’s no one here and I’m not going to tell on you.” Maybe. Eli hadn’t actually made that decision up in his mind yet. He wouldn’t tell on her until she had left and told him what was in there first anyway. Also it was likely his brother would have something to say if he did and he didn’t particularly fancy a lecture from a thirteen year old.
Who knew if Elias was ‘friendly’ deep down, everything he did was an advantage to himself so even if he was acting ‘nice’ it wasn’t necessarily that he meant it.

"Well, well," Kennedy smiled, "Fancy seeing you here," As he oh so suave and casually (in his mind) stood by her side after walking up from behind. Did she miss him? It happened.
Thinking of him.
Nova looked quickly to her side to see the object of her thoughts had appeared there. Er, had she thought so hard about him that he had materialised? No, that was a stupid thought. Clearly her jumbled mind was overthinking this. “Are you stalking me?” Nova demanded, narrowing her eyes at Kennedy. Honestly? She wouldn’t put it past him. What was astonishing was the fact that, while the thought of him stalking her was creepy, she would have been flattered if he was. It sort of made her want to kiss him.
Did she miss him? Maybe.
“One of these days, Kennedy, I swear I’ll jinx you because you annoy me to the moon and back.”
