Young author says he can't wait to read HBP! - Christopher Paolini writer of 'Eragon'

Summary:
A late-July Comic Con interview taken by and up at fan site "Shur'tugal"

Article:

Young author says he can't wait to read HBP!

Shur'tugal, an 'Eragon' fansite has a late-July Comic Con interview with the young author of the books, Christopher Paolini, in which the 20-year-old scribe speaks of his love for Potter and his anticipation for the next book, Half-Blood Prince.

Quote:
Kari: Have you read the Harry Potter books? If so, what's your opinion on them?

Chris: I read the Harry Potter books after I wrote Eragon. I actually did not read them until the fourth book came out. I didn't even know about them. I wasn't in a regular school so I never even heard of them until the fourth one came out. I read the first one, I really enjoyed it. And I have enjoyed the rest of the series. I think it's really good because JK Rowling is in a great deal to get attention for young adult literature and to encourage others to read and write. So I'm a big fan of them. She better finish them up soon. I'm waiting for the next book!

I'm waiting for both his next book and JKR's next book to come out!!

Although, I'm more for HBP coming out!

Eragon was a really fun book to read! I couldn't put it down!

But I couldn't even live without my Harry Potter book!

I agree, considering Christopher was 16 when he wrote it, it's a superb book. However, I still need to finish it... But I love what I've read so far.

I'm surprised he never heard of them, even though he didn't go to regular school, it's mentioned all over the place, TV, Posters, merchandise... he must live right out in the sticks somewhere!

He's not the only one waiting for the next 2 books *hint hint, Jo!*

Moo Spork? SPORKY SPORKY!!

Awesome! I haven't read Eragon yet but I see it sell out of our store every time it comes in! It's good to see such good books come from the mind of a 16 year old kid!

That's awesome that an author reads
Harry potter too! I recently found out about
Eragon but I haven't got a chance to read
it yet. Maybe I'll just make time now!

ooh i've seen the eragon book but i've never read it. if its like what was mentioned that its a mix of romance, action adventure etc.. maybe i'll read it. it should be interesting seeing as how its got a magical part to it like HP. its nice to know other authors are waiting for JKR's books rather than being jealous that shes so successful or something

That's so cool. I'm about halfway through Eragon it's such a good book and it's so cool that he wrote it at such a young age (he started the book at age THIRTEEN). It's really interesting to hear that authors and other famous people like HP.

I'm reading Eragon right now, and it's very good so far. I guess he can join the list of people who want to read HBP.

Cant wait for the HBP either. Im going crazy waiting for it. I think that its great that other authors like and respect J.Ks work. Its sort of gives it a proffesional verdict which can really certify that Harry Potter is a great book. Hurrah!

yeah there's this 11 year old kid that gets his poems published. I think he's actually written three books of all of them, but I'm prretty sure he's dead now. that's too bad.
