WB confirmed today that all four Harry Potter films will be taken from store shelves by the winter of 2007. There has not yet been a definite plan as to whether this is a permanent change or not.

Its a good think I already have all four. But I do plan to buy all seven in a box set when it is available. It's a smart idea but, it may have good and bad consequences. The good, the fans that discover the series later will go out and buy them as soon as they are rereleased. The bad, the fans that can't wait til they are rereleased will get the films through illegal methods. Oh well, I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens.

Hmm, definately reminds me of the "Walt Disney Vault!" I'm sure they'll rerelease them when OOtP comes out on DVD and release a new box ser as well too! You know how big time companies work; anything to make more money! Still, glad I have all the DVD's now-cuz then I can rewatch them and lend them to new viewers!
