A new photo shoot, making-of video, and interview with Emma Watson was featured in the December issue of Marie Claire magazine. The photos can be found in our galleries; the video is below.

"The first year at Brown was about finding my feet," she said. "I found a great group of girlfriends, and now that I know how things work and what the professors expect, I'm really excited about going back for my second year, because I feel this time I can relax and enjoy it."
Watson is deeply grateful for the way she's been treated by her peers. "Brown has a real sense of community, and people are very protective of me," she said. "They really look out for me; they want me to feel like I'm part of it. I threw my 20th birthday party at Brown, and I didn't even have to say to anyone not to put pictures on Facebook. Not a single picture went up. That was when I knew I'd found a solid group of friends, and I felt like I belonged

When Watson finished shooting last June, she was left with a welter of powerful feelings. "My last day was pretty emotional," she admitted. "It was sad; it's the end of an era. What an amazing learning experience! I gave everything I could to that role, and I got so much from it."

"Playing Hermione just came so naturally; I had a real affinity for her," she said. "I felt like I knew exactly who she was. Like me, she's very loyal and determined, she's very intelligent, and she has a lot of guy friends, as I do. Her eagerness to please and to have the right answer is definitely like me. I'm a perfectionist, so my bossiness definitely comes out."

"I do things in my own way, but I've never felt any need to rebel," she said. "To be honest, I've always had far too much freedom. I had a job when I was 10. I started living on my own when I was 17 or 18. I've earned my own money; I've traveled the world. What would I rebel against? I've had so much freedom, sometimes it was hard. My parents wanted to protect me, but they had no idea how to. I had to learn as I went and make my own mistakes. I went from being totally unknown and never acting professionally to being in a major movie and being very famous. It all happened so quickly, I didn't have any time to work things out. It's been pretty scary at times."
its time to choose between what is right and what is easy
aww these are great pictures !!! hoenstly i find i love her hair when she is in more adult clothes so to speak, nicer looking clothes? i find it just suits her better and makes her look 100% better with the short hair to me. the first pics of her with short hair i found were in really youth style of clothing and awkard poses made her look too young.. but i love these !! so sexy emma !
love the interview as well... im glad she has found some good friends at brown.. i couldnt even imagine how hard and scary that must have been for her !
It must've been strange for the other students to see her there at first, but after all she's just like any one of us. Yeah, she's famous, but so what. At first it might feel very cool to see her walking there but then again there really isn't any difference between her and all of us. She was very brave to take that step and go to Brown, that also means she's willing to give other people a chance to get close to her. She could as well just isolate herself and stay as distant as possible, as there definitely are people who just want to hang out with a famous person. It takes a lot of courage to trust people. But i'm so happy she's found good friends with whom she feels safe and that people have given her a chance to be like a normal student, which is exactly what she really is. Fame doesn't change the fact that she's flesh and blood like any one of us.
That photoshoot was too cute- she just has a good time-I swear though I still see teenage Emma at times though I think this girl will always be a kid at heart. I love everything about her new style- just all win!!
As for her time at Brown, that is so awesome she did find a group of friends to hang with-when I went away to college, it was very scary and you do take some time to make new friends. It is fun to hear how Emma's experiences are like anyone elses-except hers a lil different in the sense of do people like her because she's Emma Watson or because she is Emma. So it is very cool to hear that she has a group of friends she can trust.
She looks great. I love these shots of Emma, and love her hair cut!! Good to hear she has found some friends at Brown that she can really trust.. Not many people are like that in Australia.
