Video: Rupert Grint promotes Deathly Hallows I; new Rupert & Tom Felton interviews
Rupert Grint recorded a video promoting Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I's release for Cinemark Brazil from Great Hall set. That can be viewed below.
Translations of Rupert Grint's and Tom Felton's interviews in Japan's Screen magazine have been sent over by member sweetpinkpixie and can be read here.

Daniel Radcliffe: I plan to continue to focus my attention on being an actor until I am 30.

Finally Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be released worldwide in November. Part 2 of the epic conclusion comes soon after in July but, already the filming has been completed and the actors are spreading their wings and moving onto new projects. As if they were actually classmates in school, the three leads have been together for 10 years and have become more than just fellow actors. We now bring you their graduation interviews.

Rupert Grint’s page: While he may be very scatterbrain and the comic relief, Harry and Hermione could never be without their friend Ron. Playing a lead character for so long, perhaps Grant feels some strong emotions about it all finishing up? For starters, the entire cast and crew want to make sure that this installment of the Harry Potter films is the best one ever and make sure the finale is everything the fans want and more. This is why I feel immense pressure to make sure that Deathly Hallows leaves a lasting impression and that people remember it forever.

Compared to working on the other films six films, what has been the biggest change and differece in working on Deathly Hallows?
Rupert: There are too many to list! This film is so different from any of the others. For starters, the setting of the film is different. We never step foot into Hogwarts and the trio is constantly on the run and in fear that at every location the powers of evil are going to attack them.
This time, the mood is really intense, dark, and there is no chance to take a breath. The characters are all much more serious than in the previous films. Ron, especially, is always angsty, stressed, and begins to not trust anyone, not even his best mate Harry.
Was it difficult to portray this version of Ron’s character?
Rupert: Ron has always been the comic relief and friendly so, at first, I didn’t see this person as Ron. However, due to the dark times they are in now and the fear of losing his family was so strong that he mind began to change and he turned into this whole other person. I looked at it as diving into a different area of Ron’s personality and saw it as challenge to portray this new side of him. Getting into the mind of Ron during this dark period was tough feat, but it was also very enjoyable.
What do you think about all the changes Ron goes through during this time?
Rupert: All the characters have grown up, but as Ron grew he also calmed down and matured almost overnight. In the beginning, he was never confident and he was always in the shadow of his brothers, but he always wanted attention and was just beginning to find himself in the last film. In Deathly Hallows, Ron really gains confidence and finds himself. So, in this film you can see a stronger Ron.
Ron and Hermione’s relationship also develops, doesn’t it?
Rupert: Until now, we have only had hints at the potential of their relationship, but in this film we finally get to see their relationship blossom. Voldemort’s return, Ron leaving home, and all the stressful situations that they share ends up bringing them closer and then become a couple. They have always almost been a couple in the films, but in this one it feels so sudden and I felt awkward about it. Their story is different from the books, but their relationship’s development in the film is just as good.
What can you tell us about the changes in the relationships between Harry, Ron, and Hermione?
Rupert: Their bonds of friendship grow much stronger. After a big fight, Ron leaves Harry and Hermione but he comes back to help Harry defeat one of the Horcruxes. When he comes back, they all try to reconcile and become even closer. With their friendship even stronger, the three are more like a team then three individuals.
What do you want to do when you come to Japan?
Rupert: I love Japan and it is one of my favorite countries to visit. Japan is so different from any other country and the fans are the most enthusiastic. The last time I came to Japan was for Prisoner of Azkaban and I visited Kyoto. The hotel was a traditional Japanese inn and I slept on a futon!

Tom Felton’s page: In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, we are left with a very confused and frightened Draco Malfoy who has accepted his role as a Death Eater under Lord Voldemort. Playing Harry Potter’s love to hate rival is Tom Felton.
In Part 1, what scene would you say is Draco’s best?
Tom: There is a brilliant scene where there is a gathering of the evilest 20 characters at the Malfoy Manner that Voldemort is using for his headquarters. Draco, the only child in the room, is the only one with an innocent heart. As an actor, just being a part of the environment during filming was amazing and I felt overwhelmed. All the other actors in the room were playing characters with dark hearts whereas I was playing the only character without one. So I really enjoyed playing that scene.
During the course of all the films, what has been your best memory?
Tom: Meeting all the other actors and staff has been amazing. I feel very honored to have been together with them for the past ten years. Four years ago I met my girlfriend on set and we are still together. I got lucky (laughs). I made lifelong friends. I have been invited to several weddings and just the
fact that I was able to make friends through work has been wonderful.
For the past ten years you have been submerged in the world of Harry Potter, are you afraid of it ending?
Tom: As an actor it’s one of the scariest experiences, but it is also one of the most uplifting. Not many actors get to spend 10 years on the same project, so I feel lucky to be able to be a part of this emotional experience. Of course I feel a little relieved to be done and to know that I can do so much as an actor, but if I have no current projects to pour myself into I feel terrible and lost. I will probably wish I could go back to the good old days of being a part of the Harry Potter world.
For me, even after Harry Potter ended, I already had new projects to pick up, so it was a very exciting time for me. I can experience other worlds and other roles and I get butterflies in my stomach thinking about all the possibilities out there. For the past ten years I have played Draco Malfoy, but that doesn’t mean that I can play him or characters like him forever, so I need to continue to broaden my acting abilities. This year, I have taken acting and dialect training to improve myself and my career. Getting an acting job is not something you are given.
Have any fans come up to you and asked you if you are the real Draco Malfoy?
Tom: Yes, many times (laughs). Especially fans under 9-year-old ask me that. Some of those fans came to set and they hugged Daniel, shook hands with a Rupert, kissed Emma, but then they turn to me and say “AH!” and hide (laughs). So I always have to say, “It’s OK, let’s shake hands.” and smile.
That must because you embody Draco’ character so well!
Tom: The fact that I scare kids seems to be proof of that (laughs).
In your next film will you be playing another evil character?
Tom: Only 6 days after we finished filming for the final Harry Potter film, I started filming for the first part of the “Planet of the Apes” story “The Rise of the Apes.” The character I play is very different from Draco’s, but the tone is a little similar. Acting an evil character is challenging and fun and many people think I am good at acting evil. So, if I am offered such a role, I take it with
pleasure.
Do you have any ambitions outside of acting?
Tom: Recently, I just founded a record company with my friends. It’s for young musicians who have no chance to show their abilities. It’s a very
exciting project.

"We never step foot into Hogwarts.." I hope he means only the first part, because they are supposed to go to Hogwarts in the end, so if they somehow change that, I'll be really ******.

don't worry, they will be in Hogwarts in the second part. The interviewer kept switching back and forth between talking about part one and DH as a whole. This question was just about the next film and Rupert is talking about how the trio do not go to Hogwarts in it. We have already seen them in Hogwarts from the other trailers.
