Video: New Tom Felton Rise of the Planet of the Apes TV spot, interview
The first TV spots for Tom Felton's upcoming thriller, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, was released by FOX today, and included a scene with his character Dodge having a physical brawl with James Franco's character. That clip of the film, out August 5, 2011, can be seen here.
Tom also spoke to Total Film magazine about the advanced special effects in the film, and how much of an influence star Andy Serkis, who portrayed head ape Caesar, had on the cast and crew.
“I bored Andy for hours about how he got into it and how he came to be the godfather of it all,” said Felton “He talked me through a lot of it, and it’s something I’d like to look into.
“There’s so many scripts that you could have read 20 years ago and you’d have said ‘You can’t physically make that’ but now it’s an option - you can do things that weren’t really achievable.
“In this film you’re going to see such advances in the CGI that you’re going to look back at the old apes costumes and really think ‘that’s history’.”
Your flavour is milk. You're a quiet person and enjoy the peace, but you also
enjoy a bit of something new. You like the unconventional surprises that life
brings. You keep those dear to you close and adore them, as they adore you. ♥

I can't wait to see it. I've been catching up on all the old films!

I'm in two minds about seeing this film... I mean, I haven't been a real fan of the Planet of the Apes series, but I really like Tom Felton. Hmm... maybe my fandom will win? LOL.
