We announced yesterday that Emma Watson would be featured in the August issue of Elle UK magazine. Larger and new images from the issue have been released, as well as a few quotes from the actress about growing up in the spotlight.

Quote:

I'm not your classic public schoolgirl because I've been brought up in Watford.

"And I've met and worked with people from a million different backgrounds.

"You can't please everyone. And that's something that I'm learning."

On her public persona Emma had this to say:

"I don't want other people to decide who I am. I want to decide that for myself.

"I want to avoid becoming too styled and too "done" and too generic.

"You see people as they go through their career and they just become more and more like everyone else.

"They start out with something individual about them but it gets lost.

"Natalie Portman is an exception. I'm in awe of how she's handled herself."

"The truth is I'd just like to pretend that it (the money) doesn't exist. It's amazing how many children are aware from such a young age about money being important or supposedly impressive. Around the age of 13 or 14, kids used to come up to me and say, 'You the girl on Harry Potter? How much do you make?'"

and she is so right about people losing themselves...i am glad she already figured out what happens...at least now she is more prepare to try ti fight it...she needs the break, she wants it badly....ti just go to school and i think and hope she will be back... and she will be great like always...it is good that she wants to be in love with a character again like she was with hermione...of course she should not do stuff just because

Um, woah.
I don't get this - she's fully clothed & in gorgeous fashionable clothes - where are the 'tacky' & 'fhm' comments coming out of?

And to call a girl a 'tart', one whom you've never met before & the judgments are on the basis of a fashion shoot - that has to be one of thee most ignorant things I've heard someone say.

Also, nobody can possibly control what other people think of them - and to suggest such a thing is utterly ridiculous.
Ever heard that self-esteem comes when you stop basing everything you do on what other people would think?

Honestly, you need some life experience so you can grow up.

we'll have to disagree on that one. i like Emma alot, but she is going down the road that lots of actresses seem to go down. to wear less is better. the more designer labels the better.What role model is that? Where is the stong independent woman?

I admire her, I think she deffinately has her own style and she shows this off so well! she can pull off any look wheather it be rock & roll or sweet. I think shes gorgous and she deffinately uses it! I do think sometimes though she goes a bit far to prove shes not just plain old hermione, but she does love dressing up as shes said and trying new things.

Whoa ppl! Its just a photoshoot. Although I dont really like the pics, the clothes, or the poses, she's not doing anything wrong! This one photoshoot isnt gonna tell the public about her life. She isnt a tart or a whatever else ppl are calling her on here. I do hope though that she doesnt have the idea of wearing less if better, but seriously ppl give it a rest. She's not some tart...she seems to holding her head up well so far. That's all that should matter, not what photoshoots she does.
