He, along with the Phelps twins and Bonnie, were not born to act. However Dan, UNLIKE the others, has improved astronomically, and really now owns the part of Harry, if he is still a little awkward and wooden sometimes. So maybe cut him a bit of slack... it's an awful shame they didn't discover a new, amazing talent with this wonderful opportunity of a part, but they discovered many others and he's learnt from his role.
Please don't hate on us people who say this, it's not so much opinion as technicality and acting skills. You simply can't deny that he's not a natural actor. It's not a matter of opinion, it is true. That said, Dan has done a brilliant job of getting past that admittedly large obstacle and has worked really hard to do well. Good for him. Not so much for Fred, George and Ginny though. |
