Video: Harry Potter cast discuss voicing their characters in Deathly Hallows 2 game
EA sent over a short new feature on the voice over work for the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 video game, where Rupert Grint, Matthew Lewis, Warwick Davis, Joshua Herdman (Goyle), Louis Cordice (Blaise Zabini), and Ralph Ineson (Amycus Carrow) discussed the difference between bringing their gaming and on-screen characters to life.
Warwick Davis: It's really weird, the first time you see yourself as a game character, because the likeness, they're right on. It's quite a weird feeling.
Rupert Grint: I just never really got used to the fact that I'm actually in the game. Joshua Herdman: It's very surreal, seeing yourself in CG. Rupert: I've always enjoyed doing the voice of the game because I'm a big game fan.
Warwick: Coming into to do the voices, is particularly nice because we don't have to undergo four hours of makeup. Josh: It's just your voice, so you have to click your fingers and perform. Matthew Lewis: It's not quite the same as being in costume, it's kind of tough.
Louis Cordice: On set, you've got everything going on around you - you've got the explosions, you've got the people screaming, and the difference to come to the studios is that you're having to put yourself into the position again. Ralph Ineson: When we die, in the battle in the movie, we had to spend about two weeks lying on our backs in the Great Hall, but you get away with having to do that uncomfortable stuff when you're doing the video game.
EA's official Harry Potter Facebook also released a short clip on how Devon Murray, who played Seamus Finnigan in the series, compared doing the voice over work to the films.
Devon Murray: Well, part of the video games, you can play eleven missions as your character, whereas in the movies, where you're doing it all yourself. But now you can control it, so you can do it slightly different or you can take this path or you can take that path. Well, no, it's very good.

I have the game! So much more happens in this one than in the first part and I think it's WAY more fun!

I love Rupert's expression when he's playing Ron with the headphones on, he seems so into the game! He's so cute! And very cool! Hoping to buy this soon! I love video games!
