Video: Emotional final day on Deathly Hallows set with trio & crew; new Ginny promos
The final day of principal photography for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows took place in June 2010, where Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson filmed a short stunt scene in the Ministry of Magic fireplaces. The producers and trio mentioned in various interviews thereafter that the day was recorded, and would be released eventually. That has happened now.
The final day of filming, where a montage of every day of production on the final movies was recorded, and ended with crew members and producers waving goodbye. At the end of the clip, a very emotional Rupert Grint and Emma Watson hug as they say farewell to the series (despite having to reshoot the epilogue sequence six months after). That can be viewed below.
Also, a few new studio promos of Bonnie Wright in Ginny Weasley's bridesmaid dress for Deathly Hallows: Part I have been released by BWO and can be found in our galleries.
The Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I Blu-ray and DVD sets, out on April 11, 2011 in the U.K. and April 15, 2011 in the U.S., can be pre-ordered on the WB Shop or Amazon at the links below. A list of international dates for the DVD's release can be found here.
That's heartbreaking to watch and maybe I'm just feeling emotional today, but I've got tears in my eyes. Gosh, they look so happy and sad all at the same time. Reminds me of my high school graduation and moving onto new adventures. I guess it's the same with Harry Potter. We're all saying goodbye to our childhood and moving into the adult world for good now.
I wish they would release the whole footage of the day 'cos I'd love to watch it and say goodbye with them. I want to see the shot where the three of them just sat there and cried.
And I love the promos of Ginny. Gosh, Bonnie is beautiful but it makes me wonder why they did so many darn promos of Ginny, yet she only had two really silly, un-Ginny-like lines in DH 1.
Yeah high school graduation is a perfect way to put it! Omg Rupert and Emma... oh those two break my heart.
I'm wondering if they might release the whole footage from that day with the documentary they filmed.
That's so sad and so wonderful at the same time. I'm excited to see the last film (oh my...it still feels surreal saying 'last'...) but I honestly can wait a while. Stretch the Harry Potter world a little longer (like how I read the last book slowly, too). Harry Potter will always be around, it's too phenomenal and extraordinary not to last, but it's sad that the wait and preparation is ending... They may never read this, but I'll say it anyway: Thank you Jo Rowling, thank you to the cast and crew and everyone involved with making the Harry Potter books and films! We love you! :luvpot:
I have tears in my eyes watching Emma and Rupert ='( Which we could've seen more of Dan's reaction... =/
I'm going to cry my eyes out on July 15th!!!! =/ (Goodbye the official end of my childhood... it's fun being the same age as Dan... truly did grow up with this series!)
I'm the same age as well! Only a week difference in age between me & Dan.
I know... I'm gonna cry as well.... It'll be SO sad; the end of our childhood...
Omg seeing Rupert and Emma hugging and being all emotional is making me emotional too!!! I have been in denial that the HP is over for awhile now because we still have DH 2 stuff to look forward to, but it really is over isnt it?
