Video: Emotional final day on Deathly Hallows set with trio & crew; new Ginny promos
The final day of principal photography for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows took place in June 2010, where Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson filmed a short stunt scene in the Ministry of Magic fireplaces. The producers and trio mentioned in various interviews thereafter that the day was recorded, and would be released eventually. That has happened now.
The final day of filming, where a montage of every day of production on the final movies was recorded, and ended with crew members and producers waving goodbye. At the end of the clip, a very emotional Rupert Grint and Emma Watson hug as they say farewell to the series (despite having to reshoot the epilogue sequence six months after). That can be viewed below.
Also, a few new studio promos of Bonnie Wright in Ginny Weasley's bridesmaid dress for Deathly Hallows: Part I have been released by BWO and can be found in our galleries.
The Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I Blu-ray and DVD sets, out on April 11, 2011 in the U.K. and April 15, 2011 in the U.S., can be pre-ordered on the WB Shop or Amazon at the links below. A list of international dates for the DVD's release can be found here.

Okay, I am very rarely emotional. But watching that video hit a nerve. I can't even imagine what it was like to be in that room. And I'm pretty sure I saw Emma choking back tears before hugging Rupert
I have tears in my eyes watching Emma and Rupert ='( Which we could've seen more of Dan's reaction... =/
I'm going to cry my eyes out on July 15th!!!! =/ (Goodbye the official end of my childhood... it's fun being the same age as Dan... truly did grow up with this series!)
That's heartbreaking to watch and maybe I'm just feeling emotional today, but I've got tears in my eyes. Gosh, they look so happy and sad all at the same time. Reminds me of my high school graduation and moving onto new adventures. I guess it's the same with Harry Potter. We're all saying goodbye to our childhood and moving into the adult world for good now.
I wish they would release the whole footage of the day 'cos I'd love to watch it and say goodbye with them. I want to see the shot where the three of them just sat there and cried.
And I love the promos of Ginny. Gosh, Bonnie is beautiful but it makes me wonder why they did so many darn promos of Ginny, yet she only had two really silly, un-Ginny-like lines in DH 1.
If anything... imagine it like high school graduation..... especially saying goodbye to friends you have had and kept since elementary school.. That's probably how it was..... I have tears, watching that video of Emma and Rupert!

THat's exactly what it reminds me of... my high school graduation and saying goodbye to friends I've had since elementary school and letting life move on...

Video definitely put me into fits of sobs! Emma was definitely crying in that hug. Oh my God. Hats off, moment of silence to the end of the greatest childhood these people have given to us. Bless you, Harry Potter series, and JK Rowling.
This makes me cry. God bless them all. I've had my issues with the movies, but getting to watch those three grow up (and essentially grow up with them) has been a pleasure. So to see Emma hug Rupert, both of them so emotional, is really difficult for me to see as well.
I agree that I would like them to release footage of the whole day for us to watch...and say our goodbyes with them.
It's funny. I read the first book the year it came out, and I was 8 years old. When the final book came out, I was 18, and I had just graduated from high school. When this last film hits theaters, I will have graduated from college, and on to being a legitimate adult in the real world. This franchise -- the books and films -- has literally marked my life. This ended their childhood, and it will end mine. It's been a huge part of my life so saying goodbye as a faithful fan for fourteen, almost fifteen years is just as emotional.
Here's to knowing that they'll go out with a bang.
And them crying on the last(ish) day of filming just proves how much they are committed to making the movies and how much they love making them and will miss making them.
I feel the sudden urge to give hugs with hot chocolate and fresh baked cookies. Weird, I know. It's what my Grandmere did whenever we cried.
