Video: Deathly Hallows: Part I look at the making of Mad-Eye Moody
Warner Bros released a new Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I behind-the-scenes look at the making of Mad-Eye Moody, which shows a variety of makeup used to bring the character, introduced in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, to life. Actor Brendan Gleeson tried five of six different face prosthetics, including the scarred face and magical eye. That can be viewed here.
For those playing Harry Potter: the Quest, take note of a redeemable code at the end of the video.
The Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I Blu-ray and DVD sets, out on April 11, 2011 in the U.K. and April 15, 2011 in the U.S., can be pre-ordered on the WB Shop or Amazon at the links below. A list of international dates for the DVD's release can be found here.
Wow, this is great. When goblet of fire came out, he was nothing like I had imagined him, and I didn't really like the way they did the eye, but off course, over the years you get adjusted, and it's really nice to see that they do put a lot of time and effort in it!
Brendan Gleeson really did do a great job of bringing Moody to life. When I saw Goblet of Fire - it was not exactly how I pictured Moody to look, but it was exactly how I expected him to act. Over time, though - the movie Moody did replace the one I had in my mind when reading the books - and I'm fine with that.
I think Brendan Gleeson being cast a Mad-Eye Moody was one of the best casting choices made throughout the series. And I like how they did the eye. It would honestly have been a lot more creepy if there was no "pirate patch" look to it. No complaints here.
The make up artists are amazing. I couldn't sit there for hours, more or less being the one who has to put it on.
He really brought Moody to life. Creppy in the book, even more scarier in the movies!
Your flavour is milk. You're a quiet person and enjoy the peace, but you also
enjoy a bit of something new. You like the unconventional surprises that life
brings. You keep those dear to you close and adore them, as they adore you. ♥

Woah! That must've been such a long process! I think the first one up there, was what Jo actually meant by the description. But all the same, I love the Mad-eye Moody in the films!
