Warner Bros has just announced that the U.S. premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I will take place in New York City on the current scheduled date of Monday, November 15, 2010. The date and location has been revealed as part of the Deathly Hallows Facebook campaign, where fans who sign up can get the chance to attend the premiere, first class.
Rather than bore you with details, we'll let Daniel Radcliffe explain the campaign:

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be released November 19, 2010 and July 15, 2011.

I know...I was quite disappointed when I saw that it was in NYC!!! Lucky New Yorkers!
I think I'll go join too. I accidentally joined the UK one and I wouldn't have won anyway so yeah. Nice to see Dan again btw.
Oh my God, I’m about to go on a rant. This is extremely upsetting for a lot of fans, me included. They always have the premiere in NYC so why not change it up a bit ‘cos there are fans in LA who are dying to see the HP stars too. Not everyone has the ability to fly to NYC each year. They only had it once in LA for OOTP but that was only for the convenience of the footprint ceremony. And the COS premiere doesn’t even count.
Guess, the only thing I can do is join the facebook page and hope, but that really does kill the fun of knowing you’re going to be at an HP premiere with the fans. I just hope the one in July is in LA ‘cos if not, I’m ready for the kill. *is calm*

Sigh, so much for all our planning guys. Maybe we cursed it by getting too excited before it happened but we've been so careful with what we've said. Anyways, I’m with you, Mel. I might just join you in on the kicking.
