However, I think that if you showed that clip to 100 people who had never read the books or seen the movies, at least 99 and a half of them would conclude that Harry and Hermione were in a romantic relationship or at least that they wanted to be. Since we all know that that is NOT the case, the question is why are the powers that be playing up that deceptive angle?

This is seriously disturbing that WB is still pushing H/Hr AFTER part 1. ENOUGH. God, why can't they realize R/Hr are awesome?
Or H/G???? Dunno ...let's see.....Maybe Kloves ships Harry and Hermione
They have to realize they are only friends . Quote:
^But they didn't show ANYONE else besides harry and hermione. I mean, come on. It's blatant. They could've showed ginny or ron.
Quote:
Why couldn't they have shown Ron and Harry's hug at the Dursley's?
Quote:
but to make the WHOLE ad about the two of them ( oh excuse me, we did see Voldemort) and not show Ron with either one of them is a bit ridiculous.
indeed!Completely ridiculous!!! Quote:
I didn't like how they made Harry and Hermione seem like they were in love...that was annoying. I mean in that trailer specifically.
I agree. Quote:
there are more R/Hr shippers than H/Hr.. then who are they trying to make happy??
I do not think that the number of H/Hr shipper (who can ship a pair which does not exist??) makes the difference
they only need to translate the books into movies
These scenes (H/Hr) are not as faithful to the book

| its time to choose between what is right and what is easy
i agree the part with Voldermort telling Snape they saved him a seat is pretty funny
"Also learning to waltz for the Yule Ball!” love this scene in the Goblet of Fire!
the whole H/Hr trailer.. yes it makes them seem like theres something more.. but i know what happens so i am not upset after all Jo said herself she could see how people might have thought harry and hermione could have ended up together so not really shocked that they are doing the same in the film
i really do wish we could have seen more of hermione and ron and more harry and ginny like everyone else.. would be nice !

That's the first HP7 ad I've actually liked.
I think the producers of the film are focusing on the couple that the audience of the movies are responding to - Harry and Hermione. There is real on-screen chemistry between Dan Radcliffe and Emma Watson - it's just one of those things that happen - and it affects their characters and the way the audience responds to them.
As for me, because of the on-screen chemistry, I think it should have been Harry and Hermione all along.
As for the books, Rowling can't write chemistry between characters to save her life. So it really doesn't matter so much in that regard.

AW! I wish I would have seen this on television! "Spend Christmas with someone you love."
Voldemort: "Severus, we saved you a seat."
I'm crying right now. |

And chemistry in the movies is a really stupid argument for discussing JKR's endgame in the books. plus, Dan and bonne have no chemistry, but rupert and emma do. R/Hr were beautifully developed. H/Hr are different in the movies moreso because of the way the characters are written(very out of character at times)

I totally disagree that Dan and Bonnie don't have chemistry together. Their kiss in the kitchen was my favorite scene in DH 1. I wish Kloves/Yates would give them more lines together, but working with what little they have been given, Dan and Bonnie have created scenes in HBP and DH1 that were tender, awkward (intentionally so -- they are teenagers just learning to understand and express their feelings for each other), and genuine. I have high hopes that we will see a lot more of them together in DH2.
