Video: Academy awards Half-Blood Prince preview (UPDATED)
As announced last week, there was a brief preview clip shown for Half-Blood Prince during the 81st annual Academy awards' end credits, as part of a montage of numerous movies to be released in 2009. However, most of the scenes shown throughout the video have already been released in prior trailers, save for a Quidditch sequence between the Gryffindor players (Ginny and Ron). It can be seen below.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be out July 17, 2009.
UPDATE: Screencaps of the new bits can be found here.
That's it? ive seen more than that loadsss more and i was expecting someting more ohhhhhhhhhh its so tempting waiting for the sixth movie the sixth was my fav i hope they dont cut Malfoys part i mean he has such a big role in the book.
haha Oh well, better than nothing.... What exactly was the context in the show, was it a preview thing or just filler for air time?! I didn't watch, the times were all wierd for Hawaii!! Can't wait for the movie.... less than 5 months!!
I was really mad because i waited until 5am (when the show was over) and the TV didn't show it. But this is the most anti-climax thing ever lol, 5 sec....( i'm talking about the oscar clip xD)
Actually, I enjoyed seeing it. There are sooooo many new movies, so they have to cut and paste. I understand that. Just glad that they included it since it will be a big blockbuster again this summer. Cool!!

Excellent point, thank you.
I watched the entire Academy Awards (but not definitely for this clip) and they were running over.....I think. They just played that video montage at the end of the show and it really featured mini-trailers from movies coming out in 2009. Some were longer than others, this one happened to be shorter, but sorry if you were expecting some great HPB announcement. Harry Potter isn't really an Oscar-type movie anyways.
But yeah, quidditch looks fun.
