Maybe we'll see our kids come here one day.

February!?, why do we have to wait so long?, how hard can it be to translate a book to spanish?, i know the idiom is a htough one, still february?. If i'd to wait so long to read it i would have gone insane, thank god i could read the american edition. All my friends who are also fans are going spare, and dying of envy because i got to read it in July and the have to wait, lol. It's not my fault they can't understand a word of english.
Love the title, the media had been calling it "Harry Potter y el Príncipe Mestizo" which sounded kind of ordinary IMO, "El Misterio del Príncipe" sounds so much better.

That was exactly what I was thinking... My mom will have to wait until february. But I'm not so sure about the title,we always say it will be 'El príncipe mestizo'.

I feel so bad for those who have to wait so long when loads of others are reading around them. I'd be so mad!!!

No kidding?? "The Spanish version Harry Potter y el Misterio del Príncipe will be released by Salamandra on February 23, 2006 and be available in three different versions for peoples in Spain, South America and the rest of the Americas." Wow. Maybe they really did read my letter! The translations just weren't appropriate for kids in Latin America--Spanish dialect and way intellectual translations do not make for good "getting Mexican kids to read" fodder, and Mexico is in like last place in the world for people who read. I wonder if they paid attention to what I said, or if I was one of many who wrote in, concerned about the translations. Not that I'll be buying it in Spanish after reading the first translations anyhow, but it's nice to know I'll probably be able to recommend the newer translation to my students.

That's cool. Although I think it'd be best if they were all released at the same time so that everyone has a chance to read it in their language!

How much would that suck! having to wait that long. But it's like anything, you just have to wait.
