Summary:
Timothy Spall has joined a new Hollywood drama starring Jim Carrey, Meryl Streep and Jude Law.

Article:

Timothy Spall has joined a new Hollywood drama starring Jim Carrey, Meryl Streep and Jude Law.

Lemony Snicket: A Series of Unfortunate Events is based on the classic novels about the three Baudelaire orphans.

Spall will portray Mr Poe, the ineffectual guardian of the orphans, who are the central characters of the film.

Jim Carrey will play Count Olaf, Jude Law stars as Lemony Snicket, while Meryl Streep takes on the role of Aunt Josephine.

Filming on the movie, which is directed by Brad Silberling, begins in Los Angeles this week, for a December 2004 release, reports Variety.com.

Spall will appear in next month's release of The Last Samurai, playing the translator for Tom Cruise's character.

He will also be seen as Pettigrew in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

I felt almost as betrayed as Ron must have felt when I found out about Scabbers. I actually sort of liked Scabbers, and felt sorry for him, before that... and I can't stand rats!

But ...
New Jim Carrey movie= Super cool.

Pettigrew was friends with James Potter but he betrayed him to He Who Must Not Be Named. He was an animagi and was Rons pet rat. Hope that helps

Ick, they're making movies out of those books? Though Spall will do well as Mr. Poe.
