Default The 'Incredibles' can't beat 'Potter'

Thanks to HPANA for this article

Quote:
Pixar's latest film The Incredibles raked in over $70 million in U.S. theaters over the weekend, barely besting the company's 2003 debut of Finding Nemo, according to Reuters
Quote:
The three-day weekend total was the best ever for a film released by Disney, and Saturday's $29.4 million was the highest single-day tally for Disney. Incredibles is the sixth release from Pixar Animation Studios Inc. and The Walt Disney Co. and all have been hits. Pixar makes them; Disney distributes them.
Quote:
One record it couldn't break, however, was the best November 3-day weekend opening ever, which belongs squarely to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone with over $90 million in 2001.

I saw The Incredibles last night at a press screening here in Oslo (Norway). The movie isn't released here until this weekend, Friday the 12th of Novemeber.

It was SO AWESOME!!!!!

Seriously, this is the best movie I have seen this year - surpassing my other two favorites Spider-man 2 and The Passion (yes, they are two completely different films).

The action and comedy was non-stop and it had the best animation I have ever seen in an all-cgi movie.

I would warn parents that it is a bit "heavier" than the previous Pixar films, so I'd probably rasie the age-limit to around 10 years instead of 5 or 6 which Nemo was good for. But, if in doubt, go see it first and then take your kids.

I'm going with my whole family (wife and four kids) this weekend. I can't wait to see it again!!

Oh man, I want to see The Incredibles so bad. It looks excellent! Pus, I love all Pixar movies. I'm actually rather suprised it didn't beat the record set by Harry Potter...

The Incredibles looks darling. I really want to see it. I love Jason Lee and its awesome that he does the voice of the villain. He has such an excellent voice.

Ya well Hp1 was SOO SO SO SO awaited I remember there was like a rush for the cinema when it was released and some people here kept seeing it over and over and over again.

I can't wait for Hp4 mostly, i think it will beat Hp1's records, since it's like the most expensive movie EVER!!

Though the Harry Potter movies are good, I don't find them to be the greatest films. My favorite movies are The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Those movies, I believe beat HP at the box office. But I can't wait to see GOF, its my favorite book.

that film looks well funny, and i really wanna see it, but harry potter is that pheomamana (soory bad spelling) that grabs kids first ., how many parents had tp be dragged to see all the harry movies, i know i dragged my brother along so i wouldnt look as said at 17!!

but i loved it!!!

I can't wait for "The Incredibles" to be released in here, I admire (yes that's the word) everyone at Pixar, they're amazing!!! I couldn't believe that HP1 made that much money, and I can't believe that it still has the best 3-day weekend opening ever.

Go Pixar!!!!

I don't know if I want to go see the incredables. It looks like a super hero movie gone wrong. Maybe thats the way it's supposed to be I don't know. I was watching the news and it said that it beat sales records of Shrek 2. Didn't Harry Potter and the Prizoner of Azkaban do better than Shrek 2?
