| | Steve Kloves will return for 'Half-Blood Prince'
In November last year it was announced that Michael Goldenberg would write the script for ' Order of the Phoenix'. At the press conference today it was confirmed that Steve Kloves (the scriptwriter for all 4 Potter films thus far) will return to the franchise for film 6. Quote:
"[Steve Kloves] is a brilliant adapter, in the sense that he is able to retain the voice of the author that he's adapting....He is a fantastic writer, who manages to bring a... who has a keen sense of character, and really understands the voice of the actors. He has written four. He also can write with great emotion, and at the same time, also great humor.
"He is not doing the fifth because he is writing another script for me called The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, which I hope he will direct. However, he read the sixth book and couldn't stay away, so he's going to come back and write the sixth."
At this, Mike Newell, who had just heard this for the first time, responded enthusiastically, saying, "Oh, great! Oh, that is good."

Give him a chance to redeem himself, everyone. Maybe HBP will be his best HP scriptwork yet.

I'm afraid he may just do that. Based on what we have from GoF, Hermione is the victem in the Yule Brawl, I know Ron is a little tactless but we are meant to see it being justified as his feelings. Do doubt Hermione will do no wrong in GoF, and HBP she won't at all be jelous of Harry as she is in the book.

Peter Pan (2003). Pure genius. Watch that, pay attention to the script and you'll see why so many people are chuffed he's doing the fifth movie.

Yeah, Newell's reaction made me laugh. "Oh really? Oh that is good." Sounded almost too happy for it to be sincere. Heh.

Lol, I suppose you are right. But I wouldn't trust you in handling my beloved H/G ship, maybe you would be kind enough to allow me to write those scenes. Mind you they would probably have pleanty of cheap swipes at a certain other ship which will remain nameless and end up being well over 200 pages long. Quote:

See, I would love for him to do to H/G what he did to P/W, that was one of the most entertaining modern-day romances I have seen on screen. Gold. And if he wants to write H/C like that then more power to him. Although... H/C didn't exactly enoy the smoothest voyage. Quote:

I noticed that too, I thought he was being a little sarcastic. However the way he raved on about him after made me re-consider this.

I don't think it will be as bad as PoA, if Kloves isn't careful then Hermione may have some *gasp* flaws. I mean, afterall she was fairly immature with her emotions and, at times, tactless in HBP, so there is a chance she won't be as irritatingly perfect as she was in PoA. I mean, she wasn't even tired and irritated after time-turning, she wasn't even scared in the shrieking shack, she stole Ron's greatest line, she punched Malfoy out of spite, not irritation, she cared about her hair, she... *eye twitches* I'll stop, no more ranting I promise. Just Canon!Hermione, I love Canon!Hermione, please.

You killed me Will. I may not like the ship but for sure I would not make her out to be a hussy as some Hr/H shippers might. Be grateful they're not writing the script! hahaha Quote:

That's exactly what I mean. Goldenberg was great at the nuances of teens. He handled the romance well; it was subtle but at the same time the sexual tension was intense. Mind you, that was also down to the great performances from the actors.

^I think he will... I just have this bad feeling about it! After reading the GoF 'overview' yesterday where it said Snape was portrayed as being 'evil' and all that I just...well blah to Kloves! |

Kloves tried to sugar coat it, and make it all about Hermione! Just look at POA they should have changed it to Hermione Granger and The Prisoner oF Azkaban! are WB just being lazy?

Perhaps if we all send in letters to WB complaining about their decision to bring back Kloves for HBP. LOL It can't hurt, right?
