| | Stephen Fry speaks to J.K.Rowling - author of the audio books & HP author Summary:
Stephen Fry, the narrator on the audio HP books has interviewed J.K.Rowling the writer of the Harry Potter series. Article: Stephen Fry speaks to J.K.Rowling
A few weeks ago, Stephen Fry, the narrator of the audio Harry Potter books, held an interview with J.K.Rowling. Amongst other things, he discusses the new book (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) although he doesn't give away anything too huge. The interview was conducted by BBC Radio 1 and the relevant article can be found here. Quote: "I would have my legs cut off if I gave anything away."
"I think we can probably say that this next one is probably not going to be longer than the 'Order of the Phoenix' - 29 hours of listening if you buy the tapes or CDs. That's a lot of studio time reading!"
"In fact, whenever I see Jo Rowling, I've just become completely banal and vulgar - I'm not at all interested. I don't care what the story is, who lives, who dies, just 'How long is it going to be?'" Source: BBC Radio One and Mugglenet. |

Heck- it's probably hard enough with a smaller book. I give him a lot of credit for what he's doing.

I have never actually listened to the audio tapes or cd's. I didn't even think about the other accents of characters etc.... Wow, that really is a job and a half!! Much respect to you Mr. Fry.

I cant wait for the sixth book!!!!!!!!!!!! Possibly, although he is a little arrogant about it.
But yeah I'd imagine she'd have to have told him something by now to at least compensate for all the throat losengers he must consume in a year when dictating her books.

I bought Goblet of Fire on CD (put a good dent in my pocket) and it was amazing. He does great voices. Things seem 10 times funnier and 10 times sadder. Also it kinda felt like pensive. When your hear the book aloud it's eaiser to pick out patterns. I recomend.

Yeah, one of my friends has the CDs. She likes them a lot. I, personally, take in a lot more when I read it for myself....sometimes.
I'll try the CD's once....see what I think of them.
