| | Spanish HBP release date announced
The date for the Spanish translated version of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, has been announced as no later than March 16, 2006.
In an interview with Harry Latino, Pedro Carril, a Salamandra executive, stated that the Spanish edition of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be released no later than March 16, 2006.
He also noted that the official title of the Spanish edition is not Harry Potter y el Príncipe Mestizo, as was rumored recently.

Why is it going to be released so late? Of course translating would take some time, but not over a year? I remember once on HPANA there was the japanese translator, maybe they want the best translated book and for it to be exactly right. Sometimes when you translate things they dont mean the same thing, like different words which makes the story change abit. but what do i know about translating. lol

I'd image the translator has to read the book first and then do it chapter by chapter or page by page. It's got to be a really hard job to do, so no wonder it takes so long. I'd hate to have to translate.

^oh, i never pictured it like that.
The translator might be a hermione/ron shipper, and might add in some words to make their relationship more prominent. do they sign contracts not to do that?

Probably. They have to just simply translate, I'd iagine they'd get into trouble for altering elements or even the meaning of parts of the story.

Yep, you can say that again. It's going to take me awhile to translate the rules for the Chinese forums (in addition with my school's finals com'n up and schoolwork), as it does for the Spanish edition of the HBP book.
I suspect though, I'll have to revise the chinese-translated guildlines with my mom. Thank goodness for her, she caught my mistakes while I was translating the rules. As corny as this sounds, but I need someone who could help me revise the simplified chinese; I'm not most familiar with it (neither is my mom).
I apologise though, if a part of this post is |

I do wonder when it will be published in Greek. The Order of the Phoenix was published November 2003 when the English version had been published in July 2003 |
