| | South African HBP Reporter chosen Cape Argus reports that Daniella Hayman, 14, from Cape Town, will represent South Africa at the ' Half-Blood Prince' conference in Edinburgh Castle on the book release weekend.
The competition she entered required her to describe what she would do if she had Harry Potter's powers for a day. Quote:
Daniella snatched first prize with a moving and insightful piece inspired by a friend who has Aids.
The opening line begins: "If I had Harry Potter's powers for a day I would not make spells to become rich, famous or beautiful, but I would use it for my friend."
The piece goes on to liken Aids to the evil and feared Voldemort because "Aids just wants to survive. It does not care who it kills along the way."

We spent time here. We made friends here. That's a part of us.
Cause Hogwarts is bigger than any of us, of any of it's founders,

Maybe we'll see our kids come here one day.
That's the thing about Hogwarts.

I really like her entry. And I guess in South Africa, there would be a bigger problem with Aids and all that. Hope she has a great time, which, being so lucky, she is bound to have.

How thoughtful and caring of her especially at her age when people are just bothered about trivial things
