Post SnitchSeeker WBShop spotlight review: Harry Potter Slytherin House robes

This week's Warner Bros Shop spotlight review will be the glorious Harry Potter authentic replica adult Slytherin robe (also available in Gryffindor and Ravenclaw.

The robes are, legitimately, a definite must have for Harry Potter fans, especially those who firmly believe they belong to one particular Hogwarts House. They are thick and warm enough to keep wearers heated in the cooler months, so somewhat understandable if the students in the films walked around in them during the colder months. They are in fact such good insulators that a bit of sweating could occur in a room-temperature set room.

Admittedly, as it is a 'one size fits all' kind of robe, the Slytherin robe (and probably Gryffindor and Ravenclaw as well) were made for a taller personal and wider than myself. The robes were definitely created for someone around 6 feet tall, as one at the height of 5'4 can easily trip via the hems under their feet. The first thought upon seeing the robes for the first time is, "wow, this is beyond cool." However, the first thought after putting them on was more along the lines of, "good grief this thing is HUGE."

It is a large set of robes, this is true, but somehow that ads to the flair of it. For the shorter person, it looks rather impressive while walking around with them, as the hems are so big and cape-like that they are practically billowing behind you. So one basically ends up having the Severus Snape swag than that of a Hogwarts student - which definitely looks impressive and intimidating.

The hood of the robes are longer than expected, so much so to cover the entire face and down to a bit of the neck. What's a bit bothersome about the hood is that it is pointed at the top, so one looks more like they're wearing those strange Death Eater robes in the Goblet of Fire movie that try to keep themselves warm against Scotland winters.

Overall, the robes are truly a magnificent piece of clothing to own for any Harry Potter fan, though a bit inconvenient to walk out in public in (unless you're wearing stilettos with them - which would somewhat ruin the effect). Just make sure, for the full effect, to carry a wand at hand.
Order the Harry Potter Hogwarts robes at the Warner Bros Shop.

I've always really wanted some from the WBShop but was a little cautious about the one size fits all. I'm definitely getting myself some when I go to the WB Studio Tour again as I didn't get any last time!! I think they have different sizes there, though....?

They are pretty cool and I want to say that the WWOHP had different sizes.
