Sir Kenneth Branagh on if he would play Lockhart again for Fantastic Beasts if asked
Sir Kenneth Branagh, while promoting this week's release of Cinderella, spoke recently about whether or not he would want to come back to the Harry Potter and even Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them series as his oh-so-popular character
Gilderoy Lockhart. Branagh very fondly said that he would be all for coming back to the films, and with the aid of CGI could even make Lockhart look younger - something he thought was right up the character's alley. More on that can be seen here.

“They’d have to lock me out of the studio if there’s even a chance for that,” Branagh said. He had even more suggestions, including de-ageing himself for the movie. “Now the world of CGI is so helpful, I could be exactly the same age or younger! Which is a very Gilderoy Lockhart kind of thing, I think he’d prefer that,” he said.

haha to see Gilderoy in the new JKR franchise would be lovely but unless its an older relations of a Lockhart, its unlikely to happen
whats more plausible though, is for Sir Kenneth to helm a Fantastic Beasts movie. maybe the second one? Yates is so far confirmed only to do the first one, and WB is projecting to do a trilogy.
