A few days ago The Sun ran an 'article' claiming Rupert Grint's school had banned pupils from asking for his autograph. Rupert's father has now spoken out about these claims calling them 'bizarre'. His agent and old headteacher have also commented. Quote:
A bemused Nigel Grint, father of the star, told the Mercury:
"It's all a bit of a mystery — I don't know where it's come from. He left the school last summer after completing his GCSEs, and even when he was there, there were never any strict stipulations about that [signing autographs]. It's a bit bizarre."

Rupert's agent, Chris Harris, said:
"It always amazes us when we get these stories, but it's the timing of this one that's really strange. We weren't contacted by The Sun. I can only assume they were rummaging around for stories and found this one in their files. It's not true anyway - he spent very little time at the school because he was filming so often. So there was never a ban."
He said Rupert was "slightly surprised" by the story.

"We do follow his progress, but we were amazed to see our name in the press again. There were a few wry smiles here about how out of date their story was."

But anyways, if the Sun is such a rubbish magazine, and all of Rupert's fans know this is bunk, then why even bother acknowledging the magazine? You know what they should do? Get together with all the other stars that the magazine routinely libels and file a class action lawsuit to bury them under bankruptcy.

Okay, I have heard of slow news days, but isn't this just a little ridiculous? I mean, lets pretend that we have all slipped into an alternate reality and it was true... It still isn't news. It would be news on an HP site, but not anywhere else. The fact that it isn't true just makes it worse. Some people's children....

Yeah, that is a bit strange, but the press is always making up stories about celebs because they run out of real stories to tell, it mustve been pretty weird for Rupert though... why would the press be writing about his business at school? nosyy ppl!  | |
