| | |  Rupert makes special Toronto appearance (UPDATED)
Harry Potter mania was in full force when Rupert Grint arrived for the premier of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Excited fans lined the streets outside the downtown Toronto theater to see the 18 year old actor who portrays Harry's best mate, Ron. When Rupert arrived on the red carpet, the scores of fans greeted him with screams and homemade signs. Rupert stopped to along the red carpet to allow fans to have their photos taken with him.
Rupert still has a difficult time with all the attention he receives and commented to CTV News: Quote:
"It's crazy,'' Grint told CTV News outside the theatre. "Coming to these things is quite overwhelming. It's really really good, but it's quite hard getting recognized. It's hard to sort of get my head around."
Grint also commented about the support he and the films have received from Canadian fans: Quote:
"It's really cool,'' he said." It's really good to see everyone sort of excited about the film and stuff.''

I'm born and raised Canadian, not often in Toronto though, it's about 8 hours by car for me. My uncle lives there, I'm not a fan of Toronto much, there is an ongoing feud between the City of Ottawa and the City of Toronto, largely borne out of a hockey grudge, but also because they're the two biggest city's in Ontario. anyway, it's awesome that Rupert Grint made it to Canada, I love it here. I think a much nicer city to visit would be Ottawa though  or Halifax, St Johns or Montreal. They're all beautiful cities full of history and culture.

He was in Toronto!?! That's 4h away from here... So when I was watching driving lessons this morning at 1h30, he was in Canada... Wow, I can't believe it! I think he should of went to Ottawa instead of Toronto, much closer to home.
