There have been a lot of reports that Rupert Grint is the front-runner for the lead role in Steven Spielberg's "Tintin" movie series.
Two directors are currently planning on making films out of the legendary Belgian comic book adventurer Tintin, created by Hergé.
While Roman Polanski is reportedly working on a version in Europe, Steven Speilberg is also planning a Tintin movie series. Hollywood insiders are now saying that Rupert Grint, currently Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter movies, is being sought to be featured in Steven Speilberg's Tintin.
The latest sources say Speilberg's series might start with a story called The Blue Lotus, although other reports mention Red Rackham's Treasure, and The Secret of the Unicorn. | |

Hmm, I wouldn't say that it is a bad idea. Rupert would look pretty cute as Tintin.

While it's a nice thought there are two problems. One, he is too young and two, it's just not probable. He's busy doing HP and barely had time to do Thunderpants. Plus, he's coming up to huge end of school exams and after that, school work gets harder. The child labour laws wouldn't allow the time for it.

I don't think so myself. HP takes 11 months for each film. You CAN'T FILM a movie in a month. So I'd treat it as a rumour.

He's the 'Home Alone' kid. He was over worked and he's parents apparently signed all the contracts just so they could get the money.

MacCauley Caulkin was like a total cash cow for his money grubbing parents and the kid is really messed up now :unsure: I definatly dont want that to happen to any of the kids in HP or for any other reason. We do not have children so that we can work them to death so we can sit on our butts and do nothing.

I think Rupert does LOOK like Tintin, doesn't he? I haven't seen/read Tintin in forever, so I don't remember much. I think it ought to be very interesting, no matter who plays Tintin.
I bet Rupert could do it. Let's just assume it's a rumor though, just like everything else- until it is confirmed.
