The Sun newspaper are today claiming that Madonna's daughter, Lourdes (Lola), has been approached to appear in Half-Blood Prince. Quote:
A source said: “Lola has definitely inherited her mother’s hunger for fame.
“After all her recent public appearances, looking more like a sophisticated teen than a child, the attention on her is really growing. Offers have poured in - film offers, sponsorship.
“An executive at Warners wanted to cast Lola in the last Potter film and has renewed his interest for the next movie. Lola would love to do it - she is a huge fan.”

I hope this isn't true and if it is, that she is just an extra. I'm sorry to be a downer but I do think that if she is getting offers, it is because she is Madonna's daughter.

Hmm...interesting.
I won't squeal and jump up and down, but I will also not stage a protest because she MIGHT be in the movie. I like Madonna's music. I know that she has had some questionable things fly around about her...some true and some from the corruptive minds of Hollywood. Also some good things...true and untrue.
However...I am not basing this on who the child's mother is. I'm basing this on whether she can carry off whichever role they cast her in, IF they cast her. After all, the acting is what makes the quality of the movie, NOT the person.
As for the nepotism, whether if Lola is cast just because she is the daughter of a major pop star is nothing we can help. The "business" strives on it. We can just hope she pulls this off.
I'm remaining neutral for the sake of: A. THIS IS JUST A RUMOR. and B. She could be the next Meryl Streep for all we know.
Right then, I've said my peace.

It had better be a rumour. If it's true, I might just shot her (not myself). It wouldn't be fair because I know a lot of people in the States who have wanted to do something for Harry Potter but couldn't, so I don't think that this should actually happen

I heard she asked Madonna to get her to be in the Harry Potter movies a year or two ago cuz she was such a big fan......

don't let her in just because she's Madonna's daughter let someone with talent in ( like me! ) it would kill the movies if she was in because well does she have any talent? don't just give out parts because parents are famous there will be no parts for kids with talent but are not famous or are related to someone would it kill the kids to change their last name so they can have a fair shot at getting the part but don't put kids in or take them out because they are famous thats how they get discovered now i have gone on talking so bi
