| | |  Robert Pattinson cast as Edward Cullen in Twilight
Robert Pattinson, the actor well-known for playing Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter films, has recently been cast as a character by the name of Edward Cullen in a movie adaptation of the Twilight series. Stephenie Meyer, the author, is quoted saying: Quote:
I am ecstatic with Summit’s choice for Edward. There are very few actors who can look both dangerous and beautiful at the same time, and even fewer who I can picture in my head as Edward. Robert Pattinson is going to be amazing.
The press release also quoted Erik Feig, Summit Entertainment’s President of Production. He had the following to say about Robert: Quote:
“It’s always a challenge to find the right actor for a part that has lived so vividly in the imaginations of readers but we took the responsibility seriously and are confident, with Rob Pattinson, that we have found the perfect Edward for our Bella in TWILIGHT.”

but too bad, he is
what i dont understand is, why couldnt henry play edward?he was PERFECT and hes only like 3 years older than robert so they cant say hes too old. And now all i can hope is that they choose steven strait to play jake, and i might consider watching the movie...(who am i kidding, no matter what, im still watching the movie but still, maybe my pathetic attempts at threats might work...a girl can dream, right?)

meh
i was okey with Stewart playing Bella
but im like really trying to make myself se Pattison as Edward and its just not happening
i keep staring at his picture to see if he has een the slightest hint of Ed for me
but nope jsut aint happening
*sighs*
so dissapointing
he so doesn't "dazzle" me! lol

OMG thats so cool im like hunting around australia for the third book, im there onthe holiday and read the first two in two days...im in love with that series so AMAZING, Robert Pattinson...ummm its ok but not exactly the hottie i wanted to play him i dont anyone in mind but still tom sturridge (robert is ok, really he might actullay do a good job i just saw one of his images in which he looked pretty much like i htought edward look not exactly but close), and kirstin as bella is ok i dont mind her but it could have been better,...cant wait to see Jacob and mike and jes...well i cant wait to see the movie!
