But are they out everywhere? I looked at the Amazon website for the US, and they said they wouldn't ship until 10 August. So are the book sin the US actually out before then? Because if they are, I'll be the first person in line.
Going to check other book-sellers websites..............
Ok, Not until the 10th of August here in the US. Bummer, now what am I going to do. Just wait, I guess....

Hogwarts RPG Name: Sirius Potter Fourth Year | Gryfflepuff I buy the hardback to keep forever then I'll get a paperback to use for trivia and such. Much more cost saving to use a paperback for things I look up then to destroy my hardback. I only use the hardbacks to reread the whole books then it's back on the shelves for them. I also remove the dust covers and keep them in a box where they won't be damaged.

Ya, well, i am not going to buy the paperback. IT is just a waste of money if i already have the hardcover.

Dunno 'bout the rest of you guys, but my hardback died (spine broken, hard cover coming off in layers and pages missing or stained, I'm a little book abusive) I went to get another and they're still $30! I don't have that kind of scratch, so I will have to wait. And yes, for all you American fans, we don't paperback 'till August 10th. Why? I dunno, it's not like we don't know what happens.

That's why I got OotP in Hardback (and the fact that I wasn't going to wait for the paperback !)

I prefer hard cover because paperback get ruined easily. It's my opinion though.

Same as me, I have the first four books in a box set and they are paperbacks, but I much prefer the hardback of OOTP.
I'm hoping when all 7 books are published to buy the special edition ones with the cloth covers and the gold signatures, you can buy them in box sets of five already but they are like £100 which is really expensive, but when all 7 are released I will pay it to get the whole set because I think it's worth it, and it can only increase in value anyway.
