But in DH, Kreacher reveals that Regulas' death was a little more than suicide in the cave. (Providing Kreacher was telling the truth)

i like the flashback part but not the getting killed part because that didnt happen! they need to read the other books =[

Regulus is indirectly killed by a series of magical enchantments set up by Voldemort. Not by his direct hand, no, but by a setup to protect the horcrux. Regulus was selfless enough to retrieve the horcrux because he was horrified by what Voldy was planning...immortality. Whatever they do in the film is for the benefit of making a movie flow easily for a wide audience, not just a bunch of HP addicted fans. I dont like changes like this, I am a stickler for detail, but I do understand some of them. Besides that, the fact remains, they wil continue to make the movie as they see fit and w/ JK's blessing, whatever we say doesnt change a thing!!!!

I would actually hope to see this in the film, even though it wasn't really talked about in the book. I don't think it takes anything away from the plot, and may actually enhance it.

Totally agree with you. Watching a movie that is about 2 to 3 hrs long is way different than reading text. I dont believe it takes away from the plot either. It can help make the movie more...well, easy to follow, for the many that actually have not read the book (or have read it, but dont remember it!)

I just love how he's making up for the crappy job on the 5th film by adding in more scenes to the 6th and thus probably cutting out much more vital information about the plot. Genius

I just feel that if they're going to add flashbacks, it should include the Gaunts, who got cut. To add something that we can just find out about later while cutting a huge part of Voldemort's past is annoying to me.

ok so how about this: what if to cut down on the wild goose chase of having the wrong necklace after Dumbledore sacrificed himself, the film makers decided that Harry gets the real Horcrux instead of the fake one? and then with Regulus' scene they just show him attempting to take the Horcrux but Voldemort catches him then kills him off? Regulus would still come off as a hero in a way and will still prove that even Death Eaters can turn over a new leaf.

the only problem is of course i think they filmed a scene where Katie Bell touches the cursed necklace at Hogsmeade, which means the necklace is out and about and not in the cave. although this is canon, in film continuity this is difficult to explain because 1.) they never featured the necklace at Grimwauld Place in OOTP and 2.) they never showed Umbridge buying anything from Mundungus. heck did we even see what happened to Umbridge after OOTP?

Hmmm...not sure how to feel about this yet. But if they can pull it off in style and in a way that it flows well with the rest of the plot, then good for them. (And the viewers!)

Dumbledore sacrifices himself getting the Horcrux and dies before he can tell Harry how to destroy it (no probs he's got Hermoine) but Harry keeps it.
Then they'll be no need to go to the ministry in DH expressly for the neckless.
BTW Umbridge holds the Blood Status hearings in DH and it's another cursed neckless (not the horcrux) that Katie Bell handles.

I think you're onto something. I always wondered how, in terms of pacing, the Ministry sequences would work. They held the story up for a LONG time. I think you might be right.

Although I would love if they didn't have to change anything, I am happy they are adding this little bit about R.A.B. It will probably be easier to explain his story in the DH movie if we know something about him previously.

This is ridiculous. stop messing with the books! also, if they put DH stuff in the film, there wont be enough to fill the next 2 films.
