| | Ralph Fiennes talks Lord Voldemort The Journal News has a new interview with Ralph Fiennes in which he talks briefly about Lord Voldemort, the character he plays in ' Goblet of Fire'. Quote:
Fiennes embodies the serpentine Lord Voldemort, archenemy of our hero and "the most evil of evil of evil of evil of men," the actor says, shaking his head side-to-side before slipping on the spine-tingling silk of Voldemort's voice.
He's not a big Harry Potter fan. But then, flippancy gives way to the hallmark Fiennes seriousness.
"I'm not a psychiatrist," he says. "But I do think childhood is the answer. And thank God, J.K. Rowling has done the work for us. Lord Voldemort is a rejected child. Once I understood that, I could locate the rage."

I had no doubt that Ralph would do Voldemort justice. He's played some truly evil characters. And the types like Voldemort with the psychology behind 'em. I'm just glad he's taken an active role in understanding Voldemort. Just means the work will be even better than I anticipated. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Fiona Renée Oliveraux | I LOVE Ralph Fiennes. He seems so laid back and not at all bothered by being famous. Also, he doesn't take himself too seriously, which in nice. I think he's a really great Voldemort. I hope he stays on for all the movies.

It seems like he'll play a wonderful Lord Voldemort. He's right about the "evil of evil of men" thing. He'll do a really wonderful job . . . at least I hope he will.

I really like how much she described Voldemort in the new book, and in the end of the fourth book when Voldemort is brought back. I really think that he is going to be a great Voldemort. It just goes to show from that quote that he understands his character, and that's going to make the movie so much better.

Ohooo.... so he actually understood little Voldie's problems ?
What an excellent actor and an even better psychologist
I think he will do a brilliant job and I wonder if Christian Coulson might play the young riddle again in part six ...

It's true, people don't just decide to be that way, there are always root in the past that make a person what they are.

He was so good as the killer in Red Dragon. He is such a talented actor and his roles are so varied that I think his Voldemort will be awesome. I can't wait to see if returned Voldemort in the film follows the description JK gives in the books. If it is the special effects makeup will rock. ::I am still hunting for the time machine to jump to Nov so I can see GoF faster::

Great way of depicting his character. Voldemort will come out just right, with what we're bein shown of GOF and knowing what an actor Fiennes is.
