According to Nimbus.com, Isabel Nunez, the Portuguese translator for the Harry Potter books, stated that J.K. Rowling told her that R.A.B. is Regulus Arcturus Black. Nunez says that she only requested to know the sex of R.A.B. for grammatic reasons, but that Jo not only told her the character was male but gave her his name as well.

I believe the rumour, since I figured it had to be him anyway, due to the fact that a passing reference to a locket was given while no. 12 Grimmauld Place was being cleaned out. Why would JK mention it if that wasn't the case? to throw us off? Nah. This is a KIDS story. JK's not gonna make it illogical.

Hmmm I truly can't picture JK giving something away like that...She is so protective of the HP books and information like that. And why would the translater need to know the sex? Since Harry,Ron,and Hermy didn't know, why would she have to? Since they just asume it is male she would translate it as male...I dunno. I'm skeptical. | |
