Actor Alan Rickman, famously know to Harry Potter fans as portraying dubious Severus Snape in the eight installments of the film series, recently discussed how much author J.K. Rowling told him about his character, and working on set. Of particular and new note was his thought on his character's wardrobe, and what special item of Snape's he got to keep upon completion of the saga.  "And the number of people who followed Snape's story as also a member of a reading audience is also a testament to Rowling's skills I think. And frankly, every time I put that costume on something weird took over. It's the only character and I suppose by my own instance really, never changed his costume over 10 years. Everybody else grew up or had different kinds of outfits. Never Snape and you sort of got the feeling that's the only thing he's got hanging in his wardrobe."
And did Rickman keep that well worn frock?
"I don't think I dare tell you the answer to that," Rickman replies mischievously.
[He did note, though, that he officially kept Snape's wand.]

Yay! New interview with Alan Rickman. Aw, I love that he kept Snape's wand. I bet he kept the outfit too 
Lovely interview... I love his hair, it always looks good. I loved his hair when it was grey and the white hair looks good on him too.he really deserves an Oscar, the man must be recognized for his phenomenal talent. Also love that he and Dan seem so close.. I love when he talks about Dan and the other young actors.

isn't that sort of beautifully symbolic that his costume never changes?  Lucius' did a lot to reflect how disheveled and dishonorable he became from film to film. Snape's remaining the same sort of shows how his internal struggle and self was always constant

I'm really surprised that each of the actors didn't get a gift relating to their characters (as was done with LOTR actors). The talk of it all been held for the tour is nonsense, as all movies of the type make multiples of each prop or costumes? Personally I'd love Neville's plant
