| | Pottermore welcome emails set to start arriving mid-August, logins disabled
Pottermore began sending out emails today indicating a rough timeframe for when the welcome emails will start arriving for those who were lucky enough to get a Beta account during the Magical Quill Challenge last week. According to the email, the welcome emails will start arriving in mid-August and will continue throughout the end of September. UPDATE: The Pottermore Insider blog updated today noting that the sign-in button has been removed currently, and will be up once the welcome letters are sent out beginning next week. They also gave the answers to the Magical Quill challenge questions, seen below. As we mentioned in our earlier post, we’re staggering access to the Beta site, so you may have to wait a few weeks for your Welcome email to arrive. This second email will let you know that your account has been activated and that you can log in to Pottermore. (Please note that the 'Sign in to Pottermore' link has been temporarily removed from the Pottermore site and that it will return when the first early access accounts are enabled.)
Finally, we thought the curious amongst you might like to know exactly which clues appeared on which days, and what the clue solutions were.

Not fair, that some people didn't sleep at all in 31th july, cuz waiting for the clue, and other people, who just answered a simple question as how many chapters does the HBP inculde, can access the site earlier...but i'm still hoping.

I totally agree with Miss.Gabrielle. Each day has different level of sophistication, so it would be fair receiving e-mail in the right order |

Unfortunately, Miss.Gabrielle, I don't think this is going to be about fair. They're trying to do a beta test, so they're probably looking for a cross section of the registrants to go in first, some people from each country, language, age group etc... to be able to better test all the functionalities of the site. We should just be happy that we're getting in early at all. I'm super disappointed I'm not in the first group, but I know that when I do get in, it'll be worth the wait.

I do feel that it is a bit unfair (I'm Day 3), but you have to remember that people were in different time zones and are of all different ages. The later days, with a time that was much better for Americans and questions that were much easier for young children to figure out, were not aimed at older teens and adults. They may have thought their question was just as difficult for them as the ones we got were for us. The young kids weren't staying up all night, but they are just as much Harry Potter fans as those who did Quote:

And while it does seem a bit unfair it does make a lot of sense. There's always the chance that some of the beta readers won't be able to log on during the testing weeks - health, time, internet access, etc. - so it is logical to get as wide a range of statistics as possible in each Welcome group.

Do you think they send e-mails once a day? Or in different parts of the day?

I hope they don't do it in reverse. Here I was thinking day one would get in first... Imagine if we get in last
