Article:

Thanks to CBBC

The third Harry Potter film, Prisoner of Azkaban, helped UK film production spending reach a record high in 2003, according to the UK Film Council.
Hollywood blockbusters like Troy, starring Brad Pitt, also helped the massive £1.17 billion spend.

There were 25% more films made just in the UK, and 85% more foreign film makers used the UK as a location.

Steve Norris, from the Film Council said that the UK was "one of the best places in the world to make a film."

Yeah its pretty impressive for a brit flick, they dont usually do that well at the box office, i mean in comparison with American earnings. Thats due to size as well.
But for Hp, being a francise, is quite sucessful.

Man, this just makes me crave the HP3 movie more! I think I will have dreams about it now! Hehe.

I am so glad that Brit stuff is getting more attention. As I've said, it has often been considered "second best" compared to the US, which just isn't true. Now they seem to be getting a lot of great actors, writers, movies, etc. out of England. I'm not the only one that thinks this, right?

Man, this is great news to me. Keep it up! Who wants bad news? Not me! We're on a roll, let's keep going! Wheeeeeee!
