PoA Film Length Article:
Thanks to TLC
According to Amazon France, Prisoner of Azkaban will be 135 minutes long. This means it will be 2 hours and 15 minutes but remember this is only a rumour as it does seem very short. |

Yeah, that seems very short.... I'm ok with it being 1 movie... but I just don't think it can be done in that small of time.

| As long as the movie possesses the spirit of the book, I'm fine with it. I do not want to see another boring and slow moving HP movie which does not have the charm of the books. I feel ashamed watching the first two films with my mom. The movies were so bad that she might have wondered why I ever became a HPfan.

They shouldn't be afraid to cut stuff out for cinematic license.

i think they should have extended edition DVDs like lotr, that way, they can have a short-ish movie and put the longer version and lotrs of extras in the extended DVD

This is probably untrue. After all, editing hasn't even started so how can anyone state they know the length. Load of old tosh!
I agree with Rov, we should see more extended stuff on the DVD's seeing as they cut so much material from what they film.
Also, DVD length? If they haven't completed the film yet and are still putting the finishing touches to it, then how on earth can people make assumptions like this.
All it does is cause people to react by saying 'Oh no, they cant!' and alot of company's probably do this to cause hype.

If you do think about it, they do cram alot into a book, but most of it's thoughts, written information that doesn't really need to be in a movie, therefore the movie doesn't have to be so huge...but it should be anyway. THe GoF is going to be a bit longer than the CoS, cuz they say they don't want to gross 3 hours, say director Mike Newell.

How much longer does it need to be? I'd be fine with 2 hours and 15 mins. O.o I can't sit through a movie that's too long, you know!
Now, Goblet of Fire.. that one needs to be LONGER... but not Azkaban. |
