What I find verrrry interesting in this listing is the percentage of money made 'domestically'/USA and 'overseas'. Anyone else notice the averages are approximately 30% USA and 70% overseas? |

Thats good - 15 is high, but I am surprised it isn't higher...POA is so much better than the first two...It is a more genuine film...if that makes sense |

I think these statistics are a bit misleading - if one would really want to measure the success of a film, the number of tickets sold should be compared instead of the absolute amount of money it made. Movie theater ticket prices go up over the years due to general inflation which means newer films will make more money than older ones, even if exactly the same number of people went to see it.

that is so cool! But why do I have this nagging feeling that GOF is going to break all records of the three HP movies so far?
But anyways Congrats to POA!

Oki,well let's see I am pleased I mean 15th is pretty good, but I thought it did much much MUCH better I mean seeing as Hp 1 is third on the list, and I mean I felt that this movie (HP 3) was nicer then Hp 1. I hope that someone's prediction here that GoF might not be TOO good ain't true *cross fingers* ( no offence to the next Trelawney ). Whoa did u see the titanic AND THE LOTR!!!!! Is that :o or what!? I always thought the LotR was second to Hp,turns out (and i'm rather disappointed) that iwas wrong.
About what someone said, the inflation thingy,i couldn't agree more, they should also put the number of tickets sold and at what price,it'd be more detailed and might turn out differently... though it seems obvious the race 'tween LotR and Hp

| I always thought that PoA was going to do much better than PS and CoS but i was wrong. The reasons that i have for believing this is that i always personally thought that PoA was one of the best books since its where we first meet Sirius Black and because of the long wait for it maybe it would have been a highly anticipated but the long wait must have done the opposite and turned people off from being interested. |

Awesome!!! I LOVE how all 3 movies made it onto that list. And of course you had to have LotR and Star Wars!

Thats great! But I bet its higher up on UK charts--how much are the average ticket prices over there??
But thats awesome, though I though PoA would have made more money that SS/PS.

It probably didn't do as well as the others because noone knew what to expect with PS especially. They didn't know what would be left in and how the whole world was going to be portrayed so now after seeing two movies they decided that they didn't like how it was done and decided to just stick with the books.
POA rocked so it was there loss |
