Summary:
Hugo and Nebula award winning author Orson Scott Card had this to say in his comments on Prisoner of Azkaban

Article:

Hugo and Nebula award winning author Orson Scott Card had this to say in his comments on Prisoner of Azkaban:

This is a wonderful movie, richly imagined and beautifully performed. The Harry Potter franchise has grown up into being good art, not just decent adaptation.

And for those troubled by the omissions, just remember that the movie doesn't erase the book. [Spoiler removed by Leaky editor so as not to ruin anything for the three people reading this who've yet to see the film]. You can go back and read it to your heart's content.

This is what film adaptation ought to be: faithful to the truth of the story, without being enslaved to it.

I agree with him 100%.

I'm tired of fans saying "they got it wrong" or "they left so much out" !

It's an adaption. It works very well for the screen.

Orson Scott Card is one of my fave authors. I think Poa movie was done well and it kept all the important part of the story intact.
