Actor Oliver Phelps (George Weasley) has been contributing lately to a
blog for the
Aston Villa Football Club, during which he talks about various
Harry Potter co-stars' and crew members interest in the football (soccer) team - or rather, their preference for others.

While doing promotion for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the cast visited various cities around Europe for premieres and media appearances.
In our down time we were shown around different football grounds, which was great fun.
They will certainly pose a real threat for the Villa tonight. However, if the guys can perform as they have for much of the season, I fancy their chances.
I attempted to talk my brother James into coming to the match with me and my mates tonight to sample some European football. Being a Blues fan he declined my offer. Shame that.

There are plenty of other members of the Harry Potter cast who are Villa fans - most notably David Bradley who plays Argus Filch in the series.
As he has a season ticket in the lower Holte and I have one in the upper we sometimes pass each other at the Holte End gates.

Alfie Enoch, who plays Dean Thomas, has also become a Villa fan in recent years after a school pal took him to a match. And the on-set art director Steve Swain is a huge claret and blue fanatic too.
He also discussed the
Emirates Return and the
UEFA Cup, which can be read
