there's no question that it's Ron, Hermione, and Ginny...Ron looks so old! but its curious that they made the fourth person less visible and in the backk...but it seems to resemble an asian female...cough cho chang cough...but who knows?

It's very curious that they didn't give us the full cover, just that back portion. We know the image extends to the book flaps. So I do think this character is important.

You know, I didn't think so, but the character really does resemble the drawing of Cho in the US edition of OotP. Chapter 25. It's quite similiar. Well, I'm convinced it's a girl, for sure. But I can't understand why Cho would appear on the cover... That does signify importance.

They probably didn't want to take the time to get rid of the summary on the inside flap. lol Since they're not releasing that until after the 16th.

Well this image must have been taken before they put the summary on. It doesn't have the "Sequel to the New York Times Bestseller: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" on it.


EDIT:Now that I look at this "dark skinned" character and the UK cover where the two hands and being held and the person on the right seems to have dark skin I'm getting something. We see ginny and possibly Dean Thomas. They could be the ones locking hands on the UK cover. Again this is just me throwing out suggestions.

It looks like Cho to me too. But why would it be her? Weren't H/C over? Gawsh, I really hope Harry doesn't go there again. Blah. They can sort put their issues but PLEASE no more smooching on that court. Please.

It's the kids cover. I'm positive those are Harry and DD's hands not least because the same fire type stuff is around their hands that is around them on the front. Older skin tends to look darker.

But DD's skin on the cover doesn't really reflect the ones on the flaps. Plus you can clearly see that he is wearing blue robes yet the flaps has a black robe sleeve rolled up. Older skin doesn't necessarily get darker.

I just don't see why it'd be Dean when he was distracting before. What would've changed to make him less distracting to Harry's journey?

His backstory was distracting...is how I take it. What would be the point in knowing how his father died? That's distracting. The fact that he's a Half-Blood is the golden nugget here. Again just throwing out suggestions.

I dunno. I can see why he's a candidate for sure but I just feel if bringing his history was too distracting before then making a book about him would definitely be distracting.

The cover makes the book irresistible!!!!!

Yeah! I think that Ginny will take a big part in this book. Ron don't have his usual freckles??? Ron looks steady. Hermione is abit of anxious..I think the girl behind Ron is Luna.. The hair is brighter than the dark hair that Neville has got or also cho. I think Cho will not appear in this book except from some small scences.

i think it's very kewl, but i really thinkit is ron, hermione, and ginny/cho. and i think it really looks like the dark mark is floating above them

Its Hogwarts for sure. The vack cover just makes everything more suspenseful. I can't wait till the 16th

I can't really see the back cover!! whaaa.... I only see the Mark, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny. That's all.... I can't wait till i hold that book in my arms. erggggg
