| | No planned release date for HBP
Thanks to Mugglenet who have this information concerning the release date for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Quote: Last week, we reported June of next year as a possible release period for the sixth book. IMartin from ElUniversoPotter took the initiative and e-mailed Christopher Little (JKR's publicist) about a possible June 2005 HBP release date. He received the following response: Please be advised that as JK Rowling is still very busy writing book 6, there is currently no planned release date as yet. We have received no information as to when the publication date will be, therefore I would advise you to keep looking at JK Rowling's own official website www.jkrowling.com as this is where all accurate information about the release date for the book will be revealed.
Of course, we didn't really expect them to say anything different. Until there's something to announce, generally you won't find people willing to talk. Oh well all we can do is wait...
Thanks to Mugglenet |

| Hate to say I told you so.... I thought for sure this summer was way too early. Of course I want it sooner than later, but the editing process takes up too much time for the book to be done so soon.
Ah well, like you said, all we can do is wait.

It would have been nice if the rumor was true, but the date seemed a bit optimistic. I'm sure JK will let us know on her website the moment she knows a release date.

I agree, I thought that June as a release month was way too early even though I would have loved it to be then. However it probably would have to be rushed and I would much rather want a good, well thought out book rather than a rushed copy.

June 2005 would have been nice, but I'd rather have a put togehter and great book, even with a longer wait. I was reading a FF the other day and one of the author's notes stated that to be a Harry Potter fan, you MUST be patient. That is so true!

I'm glad it was false. I want JK to take her time when she writes it. June 05 was a little too soon. I'm sure Jk will tell us the release date on her site before a news paper does.

Do you know where I can get some, I'm all run out. Seriously though, I didn't believe it when I heard it. I don't think June of next year would be too soon, didn't she say she was over half done? But still, I hate the waiting. Quote:

I don't think I can wait that long. Still I'll take your best guess over those people who say 2006. *crosses fingers* sljdkwh *uncrosses fingers* Quote:

Yeah, it'll be better if she doesn't rush it, and I wouldn't mind it being extra long maybe in two volumes, or three...and you're definately right if we hear anything about it, it'll most likely be from her website, I mean who's gonna know first if not her? |

I think that Christmas next year, although it is very far away, is a more realistic and optimistic approach. I think that it gives JK a good year of writing, publishing and what not. Rather than only having about 6 months or so if the release date was in June next year.
