| | | New Stan Ianevski interview The Sofia News Agency has a new interview with Stan Ianevski (Krum) in which he discusses what he'd like to do, as an actor, post-Potter. Quote: Q; How does your family take the bad press? A: At the beginning it was tough but now, we're getting used to it. In the beginning I read that coming to Bulgaria for the premiere of Harry Potter was a punishment to me, and it really hurt, because it was my idea and I shared it with Mike [Newell, the movie's director.]
Quote: Q: Do you visit your fan website from time to time? A: Yeah, I go on the Internet quite often, pretty much every day so I do go around and visit and read what they say, because I think it is really important to know their opinion. Because in the film industry the fans drive the actor and inspire him. So far they've been really supportive and I really appreciate it.
Quote: Q: You've mentioned before that you would like to take part in actions and thrillers, something along that line? A: Yes, because Harry Potter was fantastic but catered to a younger generation. For a next project I would like to do something more serious. Like a drama, or something that would catch everyone's eye, rather than just the younger generation.
Quote: Q: Do you feel ready for a really big role in a drama that requires you to show more emotions? A: Oh, yes, Harry Potter itself was filled with lots of feelings and action. I never prepared for this, it all came naturally. I prefer to play it in a more real way, rather than preparing and then going at it like a robot. I think I'm ready and I'll see.
The entire interview can be read here. |

Nice interview, he seems like a good person. I didn't realize that he had bad press to deal with! But then again, I don't look for that stuff.

It seems to be that all the HP actors/actresses have bad press by jealous, angry and hurt people. It's a cool interview though!

Well I think he needs to work a bit more on his acting, the tent scene was really bad, but the last scene he did with Emma was much better. Good luck to him if he wants to continue acting, but we can't really tell how good or bad of an actor he is just from watching HP, becasue he only had 3 lines for the entire movie. |

Aw, that was a sweet interview. I like Stan even more now. I like the fact that he cares about us fans. It's nice to know he appreciates us and acknowledges us for inspiring actors like him to continue with their careers. I hope to see him in more movies. He did great for his first acting role, Stan's da man. |

Excuse me?! I'm 21 yrs old and when I went to see HP in theatre at least 60% of the visitors were older than me....(at least 10 to 15% over 40!)
