IMDB (International Movie Database) is listing Thai director Anand Tucker as being “in talks” to direct Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. No announcement has been made from Warner Bros. regarding this rumor.

I agree sounds interesting that is one thing going for the movies they all have a different feel to them like the books. I do hope he can do a better job then the rest. Though we haven't seen what Yates has done yet so we'll see

Ehh...They need someone who wants to make the movie more mature. As we all know, HBP is a very mature book and should be treated as such.
One can only hope it does not turn out to be as cheesy as SS/PS, that the plot is not shredded like in POA, and that it is not all glazed over.
We all know what happens in the end and I hope that it stays as intense as the book made it out to be.
