Mrs. Bush Loves HP - The First Lady Loves Harry Potter

Summary:

Over the summer, Mrs. Bush said she read all five "Harry Potter" books by British author JK Rowling. "I loved them. They were so imaginative, clever and fun to read."

lol, yeah. And it proves that Harry Potter isn't just a 'childrens book' as many call it.

I love the books myself, I just can't see how someone at the age of 7 or 8 want to seat down and read the books. I think it is wonderful that they do. I just don't see how.

I agree. My reading has never been brilliant and I dont think I could have read book 4 or 5 when I was that age, so I have a real problem with people saying they're not suitable for adults.

Hmmm, well, in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" they say something about the man being the head but the woman being the neck and they can turn the head anyway they please, does that mean that if Mrs. Bush gets sucked in enough, something could be implemented in Government about how wonderful Harry Potter is? Maybe passing a law that it cannot be banned from schools, or making it part of curriculum or teaching it at every college??? That would be neato!

I am another adult that likes to read the Harry Potter books. They let my imagination run wild and everytime I read the first five book again I learn something new.

Exactly. To be honest, I dont know anyone whos read one of the HP books the whole way through and not enjoyed it. I remember reading the first page of PS when it first came out and thinking it was boring, but after the film came out I read it the whole way through and was hooked.

That's so sweet. I'm glad "celebs" can also get lost in the magical world of HP.
