| | |  Michael Gambon & Maggie Smith nominated for 2010 Primetime Emmy Awards
The nominations for the 2010 Primetime Emmy Awards were announced this morning, where Harry Potter actors Sir Michael Gambon (Albus Dumbledore) and Dame Maggie Smith (Minerva McGonagall) received acknowledgment for their television projects outside of the series. 
Michael received an Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or TV movie for his work in the PBS/BBC remake of Jane Austen's Emma, in which he played Mr. Wodehouse. Dame Maggie was recognised in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or TV movie for her portrayal as Mary Gilbert in the HBO production of Capturing Mary.
The Primetime Emmys will be given out live from coast to coast - yes, both east and west coasts will view it at the same time - during a black-tie ceremony on Sunday, August 29, 2010 on NBC. We'll have more on that later this summer.

while i have the greatest respect for Michael Gambon, that part was hardly breaking sweat! Even in the Book Mr Woodhouse is just a minor character. Not award winning material. Sir Michael has done greater work when doing adverts!

I think it's been announced Regis will be hosting- I don't know anything on presenting though..Maggie is a great actress, she has the ability to make me laugh
