In a new interview with Sky magazine to promote My Boy Jack Kim Cattrall talks about working with Dan Radcliffe on the World War I drama. The piece also includes new pictures of Dan in the role. Quote: Q: What's it like filming with Daniel Radcliffe who's playing your son?
KC: I love working with him. He has incredible enthusiasm and he wants to do his best - He's got the whole package. Plus, the part suits him."

With the first scenes shot, everyone has a break and a well-deserved cuppa. Daniel Radcliffe's bodyguard warns him the paps are outside, but he seems more rattled by the 20 schoolboy extras milling around, whispering "There's Harry Potter!" and clutching copies of J.K.Rowling's latest book! Not a bad way to spend the school holidays.

I'm oddly not even remotely interested in watching this movie. But I was thinking why aren't any of the HP actors doing comedy? Really ... there's just too much drama.

Drama is more respected within acting communities. For some reason comedy is seen as inferior.

Ha! Comedy's the hardest thing on the planet. Anyone can put on a straight face  no pun but being funny is entirely too difficult. Besides it's not like you couldn't do the two ... or play the straight man. *sighs* No wonder Rupert gets no love ...
Still it's nice to see Dan branching out. Poor kid though, does he ever sleep? Honestly. Sleep.  I guess he'll sleep enough when he's dead.

I agree - the timing is everything and it can so easily fall flat on its face. Most "dramas" under the British definition include a bit of everything anyway.
Honestly? I don't think so. But I think it's the right thing to do, so long as he doesn't exhaust himself, to try and prove his worth beyond Harry Potter. Quote:
