John Williams confident he will return for Deathly Hallows
 

John Williams recently gave a lecture in the U.S. in which he briefly commented on the last Potter film, Deathly Hallows. He is confident he will return to score the final episode in the cinematic series.

Williams scored the first three HP movies, with Patrick Doyle taking the helm for Goblet of Fire, and Nicholas Hooper charging the reins after that for Order of the Phoenix & Half-Blood Prince.

Dude, I SO hope he does. The music for ootp was much less than desired.

That's so exciting.... He started the beautiful ballad of "Hedwig's Theme" and it's going to be amzing what he has in store for the finale. He's so materfully talented, it's going to be so amazing piecing things together!

Nicholas Hooper made a very varied soundtrack to OotP, I like that...
But it would be great that John Williams could return for DH, he started it all with 'Hedwig's Theme'.
All others copied this theme, that's why he's the best to make the soundtrack for DH.

I'm still wondering: WHO will be the director for DH... I guess one of the former directors or a completely surprising director (from other great movie making countries; India, Japan, France, Italy or Germany). :harry3:

I liked it. I think it's nice to change things every now and then, to spice it up. Similarly with the directors.

Technically they didn't; Hedwig's Theme is copyright of W.B. thereby allowing subsequent composers to use it in their compositions to keep a continuity.

awsome...an amazing book, amazing actors, and an amazing soundtrack...Deathly Hallows is going to be THE BEST movie EVER

I'm really happy about this, I like all the soundtracks, but I must admit I prefer the ones he's done to the others. I think he's arguably one of the best composers around at the moment; he's done so much and it's all brilliant.
