| | |  John Hurt confirmed to return as Ollivander in Deathly Hallows
Actor John Hurt spoke about returning to play famous wandmaker Ollivander in Deathly Hallows recently at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York: Quote:
"Yes, that's up this year," Hurt told me on the red carpet for the premiere of Englishman.
"You must be looking forward to that," I said.
"Oh, yes, I do," he said with a smile. "It was great doing it the first time, and it's quite like revisiting Quentin Crisp, except not quite 33 years in between!"
On the importance of Ollivander's role in the final films, including the story behind the Elder Wand, John said: Quote:
"It's a very crucial part of the last [book], if you think about the implications of it," Hurt said.

John Hurt is an excellent actor. The Harry Potter franchise is maybe unprecedented in the number and quality of British character actors who appear in relatively small roles - lucky for us!
