Summary:
John Cleese Article

Article:

John Cleese Article

The San Jose Mercury News has an article on actor John Cleese, and on how he's done more in his career than Monty Python:

He created and starred in one of the most acclaimed British sitcoms (``Fawlty Towers'') and has secured recurring roles in the James Bond, Harry Potter and Shrek film franchises. He has co-written successful an Oscar nominated screenplay (``A Fish Called Wanda'') and self-help books. He even started Video Arts, a management-training video company that has made him a small mint.

Technically technical all the time Bookaholic

John Cleese really is a great actor. He's even famous over here, on the other side of the pond I absolutely LOVE "Fawlty Towers" and I think he was perfectly cast as Nearly-Headless Nick. I just wish they had been able to show his Death-Day Party.

Hello, this is my first post out of that dratted Newbie hut. John Cleese is one of my favorite actors of all time, whether it's in Monty Python or his great little cameo scene in the classic Doctor Who story "City of Death" (written by Douglas Adams, one of Cleese's friends and one of my favorite author's). I too find it interesting that his real name is John Cheese. That may explain the Cheese Shop and other cheese obsessions found in Monty Python.
